8 ohms. It's in my fender twin reverb, and I love it. A fantastic public speaker. There are two Bandmasters in my collection, as well as a 1966. I'll use the 1258 Eminence in 1969 if they need speakers.
I'm not sure about the fender's impedance, but I can say that the Vox 50 watt at 8 ohm, which I recently installed, is an excellent choice. The sound of the Vox has never been better than it is now. The lows are deeper and level out, while the highs have a lot of top end. Overall, this is a fantastic speaker that I would buy again.
If it fits, it should be okay. The 12" speaker on the vht Classic 6 is included. It's possible that it's a little too much.
Selected User Reviews For Eminence Legend 1258 75W Guitar Speaker
This was purchased to take the place of a one-year-old one-year-old one-year I'm riding around in a tweed clone I won on eBay (ValveTrain 205), and I'm loving it. I'd used some Eminence Patriots and Webers in other amps, and had heard about the Jensen reissues, but other users suggested this was a good option for keeping the tweed character at a lower cost than an alnico. This one, I have to say, has the tweed tone I was looking for.
My Fender Hot Rod Deluxe guitar amplifier's factory speaker has been replaced. This speaker is superior to the original in terms of sound quality, with a solid, rich sound.
TWEED DELUXE has a great speaker.
The tone is perfect. The amp now has the clean/tweedy tone I was after. This is a fantastic speaker. I'd purchase another one if the opportunity arose. In a Blues Junior, I'm sure it'd be fantastic.
One of the original Fender amplifiers was replaced. Outstanding orator. In my Twin Reverb, I had to replace one of the original Fender speakers. I intend to purchase once more. I have two old 1966 Bandmaster amplifiers in which I plan to install the Eminence 1258 speakers. The sound is appealing to me. There's also a fantastic price.
