Questions & Answers

Is there a way to increase the bass with an AC4 Handwired?

There is a wattage limit on bass, which determines its power and headroom. A 12 inch speaker is actually more powerful than a 10 inch speaker because it produces more volume.

A tweed blues junior 3 should this be a good choice, not a mistake?

It is impossible to create an authentic tweed tone without a tweed loom. That is more likely to be found with an AlNiCo speaker, or a Jensen Vintage Ceramic speaker. While it may not sound the same, it will certainly sound different with a more "British" or fuzzy edge to it when overdriven, with a lot of low end girth, providing the circuit allows for those frequencies to pass through.

A beautiful sound with a lot of color and intensity
5/5

With a Fender Super Champ x2 15w head, this is powered by some serious tone. Specifically, I installed this in an oak enclosure measuring 12" in width by 6" in height. The tone will be set to the blackface setting out of the box and the volume will be pushed to 5+ and you will be using an Ibanez TS-86a This speaker is the final piece I needed to get the colorful sound I needed. There's nothing better than breaking up right at the right time, and getting that warm and fuzzy feeling afterwards. If the sustain is timed perfectly, the hairs on the back of your neck will raise. Besides playing a Les Paul studio and a Texas Special loaded Strat, I have a Strat loaded with Texas Special pickups. With this project, it is classic rock and blues primarily. I have finally found the tone I have been.

It is this heritage that produces the sound
5/5

My personal belief is that Celestion's Heritage series is closest to the vintage sound of a vintage Pulsoniccone of the 1960's than any other. These modern reissue Greenbacks have a harsh tone and do not have the 'tone. I found these at a great value and they are what I was looking for.

It is expensive, but it is a My Laney Cub 12 is an all-tube amp, so I connected the speaker to it
5/5

A friend of mine recommended that I do it and I have to tell you that I did it. DIFFERENT THAN YOU WOULD EXPECT! Comparing the size of this magnet and the one that came with my amp, it is impressive. Heavy as it may be, the sound it gives off makes it worth its weight in gold. It is never a loss when it comes to finding a great speaker It is always a good idea to check how many ohms your amplifier needs before purchasing it. I can use it with my Laney since it has an 8-ohm resistance. Before putting lots of volume and gain on the speaker, be sure to break it in first. Wishing you the best of luck!.

The Time Machine, a time machine for our time
5/5

I love this speaker. It's the best of Celestion. In a 412 Marshall AHW1960 I have 4 of them. For my 212, I got two. The tone is amazing and it goes well with my amp. The speaker blew the other speakers in 212 out of the water.

It works well with open back combos, and has a classic sound
5/5

There is a price for everything, and my favorite speaker is worth the money. The sound of late 1960s rock can be heard here. Both the Vintage 30 and the modern Greenback fall far short of the Vintage 30. They have good, solid lows, and I use these in an open back 1x12 combo and 2x12 cab.

If you like "bottom-up" speakers, this is the one for you It sounds like the end of something
5/5

I really enjoyed what he said. The original Celestion of a Fender Blues Jr amp was replaced with this one. You will love the bottom end that.
