Questions & Answers

In the advertisement, the speaker is advertised as being 8 ohms, but in the box it came in it said Where does this come from? Is it better to believe the box or should I believe the ad?

Its 8 ohms on the G10 and 16 ohms on the G12. You can measure using a voltmeter, even though it's a strong speaker, you don't want to overdrive it.

What would this look like in a Vox AC4C1- Is there a way to modify 10 cabinets without making any changes?

That is not the case, in my opinion. In order to accommodate the bell housing covering the alnico magnet, you will have to move one of the transformers on the back board. It wasn't difficult to replace the stock VX with a G10 greenback, which fit without any mods, and which, for me, generated a significantly improved sound quality.

My experience was the same as yours. As expected, I received a 16 ohm power supply instead of the 8 Stuff happens, so we have to deal with it. I sent it back to you. It would be very frustrating if I got the 16 ohm version again if I try it I'm crossing my fingers.

Does the speaker have an 8-ohm impedance? What I need is that for my Princeton, but there is no way to select it. ?

There is a listing for an 8 Ohm speaker in this listing.

I don't know what to think, but it sounds way better than Orange VOTW speakers
5/5

I'm not a guitar guru or a seasoned guitar tech, I'm just a regular guy with an opinion on guitars. A year or so ago, I started looking for a new amp since I wanted something with a fuller, more rich sounding speaker in it. I currently own an Orange Crush 35rt that is used for practice in the house. Being forced to use yet another large piece of gear in my small practice area was not appealing to me. The Celestion G10 Gold speakers were one of the drop in speakers I found while researching. After dropping this bad boy in my 35RT, I ran into a blown out door. It's fascinating the sounds this speaker makes, and I can hear all kinds of new sounds come from my Tele, Strat, Getting the driver into this thing was easy, as the driver is pretty large, so you have to wiggle it into place a little bit, but it goes in easily. If you need to work with the holes on the back, you will need a small, thin screwdriver. It wasn't necessary for me to remove the control panel because it is attached with adhesive tape and it had a really nice seal. It was not necessary for me to work on the electronics, so I left it Installing this software will be a breeze for you if you are comfortable using a touch screen. For the back housing, there will be 8 screws that will allow access to the speaker, and another 4 screws that will hold The wiring on Orange uses push-on connectors, so there is no need for It took less than twenty minutes for the whole process to be completed. That's a big change, I'm so happy in the moment. A whole new sound has been added to my little combo amp.

I love it! Having a Celebration G10 Gold installed in a Mini Z of the second generation is great Installed a new Ramrod speaker to replace the stock one
5/5

Notes on guitar Paul Jr. , Les Les Paul. The effects of P90 have been completely negated. My amps usually sound better with different speakers. While I've switched speakers with great hesitation and research, many of them sounded better. The football (tone) was swapped from the 50 yard line to the 30 yard line previously. As the gold continued to roll, the ball (my Mini Z) reached the 1 yard line and went to With the right setup the tone changes dramatically from what can now be referred to as cold and round to harmonically rich with a great warm balance and all Mini Zs have a reputation for being expensive and having small headroom and crunchy breakups -- While all of that is still there, the sound is now more like my old 5F1 Champ and a JMP that I briefly played, as opposed to how it was before, vague, It was unique once, but now it is even more so. The 8" mini Z had a stock Weber 8 ceramic and the gold just gave it a whole new level. Previously, I owned a 6" one with a ceramic and it took it to a whole new There is also no buzzing or fizz. An acoustic tone has great sparkle and chime - a clean tone doesn't have those things - Before, there was practically no such thing. My first thought when I heard this was "that sounds like an early 1950s Tweed Deluxe" - stunning distortion! The sound is similar to a Z, but more tweedy in a Marshall An incredibly harmonic and warm piece of music Musician with a lot of musical ability.

I Have Found The Perfect Speaker For Guitars! Honestly, I find this to be the best guitar speaker ever made (for me)
5/5

Fender's Mustang 1 amp completely blew me away and I have no idea what I've been missing. This speaker seems to produce the extra harmonics that I have read about in many other reviews. There are many differences between playing through the Gold and playing through the Platinum. As if the notes flew off magically and the guitar just disappeared, I was immersed in a sonic blessing all around me. This speaker has strong bass as well as a balanced distribution from bass to highs with no stuttering, humps, or spikes. As far as I can tell, the Gold speaker is the least tiring one I've ever used. The bell-like tones at the top of the scale are very appealing to me. Despite listening to others on the topic, I never understood what they meant or how to proceed. I also love the attack approach, which is responsive without being The swirling nuances and tones that float out and around you with this speaker are beyond description. I am inspired by it and feel like I am able to play for hours at a time. My recommendation would be to use this speaker with the open back. Several parts of the magic were muted when using closed. With this speaker, modeling amps will greatly improve the sound. I have already ordered the 12-inch version of it for my other Fender Mustang 2 amplifier and I am very pleased with it. It is very neutral and does not add any color of its own while making the intended tone shine. The amps I have owned in the past have been great and I now just play with friends and family at home. There might seem no point in putting such a costly speaker in such a low cost amp, but the Mustang V2s are fantastic and with the Celestion Gold they come with, I have no need for anything else. Please note that Upon opening the Gold, you are immediately struck by its great sound. As of yet, I am blown away. I cannot begin to tell how impressed I am. In addition. No matter what level you listen to it at, it sounds fantastic. My past experiences with various speakers have cost me a ridiculous amount of money, and I have never considered the Gold to be an affordable option. If I had started with Gold, I might have experienced more success. I would have been able to accomplish this quest for much less money.

The reviews I do are not mine
5/5

There Is No Way Out Of This!. After installing this Celestion G10 Gold speaker in your Fender Super Champ XD practice amp, I was blown away by how much better the amp sounds. No distortion at all when the volume is set to the 'clean' setting. No more muddy tones. The tone is clear, smooth, warm and chiming, even better than what my '65 Deluxe Reverb could do. Until I switched to the Celestion G10 Gold speakers, the Super Champ XD had always been a great practice amp, but the G10 Gold speakers have turned it into my favorite studio amp because they demonstrate the true potential of the versatile XD's voice. The speaker has far exceeded my expectations! He brings a sense of magic and soul to the proceedings. It is the best purchase I have ever made! I am in love with this.

As if butter were melting on your favorite speaker It was a budget amp that I liked so I replaced the speaker tube and preamp tube
5/5

Since I have two 100 watt Marshall amps which aren't for practice, I wanted an amp with a creamy sound. It's a bit chilly outside, but the speakers are wonderful. I'm used to them in larger amps in the 12 inch format. Although there is a break in period, not there yet, with Suhr guitars over the stock speakers, as the stock speakers A new one can be swapped out in just a few minutes.

The price is high, but it is worth it! You did an excellent job! It has a high price tag, but it is well worth it for The sound is great when you put it in a vintage Princeton Reverb
5/5

Many people think they are "stiff" at first and that they need to break them in but I gig weekly, so I was using it all night out of the box and I haven't really noticed a change in my tone in three months. Almost every time it sounds great. Alnico has that sweet top end and this speaker also has the benefit of a robust use it for everything from Dwight Yoakam to Jason Aldean, and I am pleased with the results.
