I bought my Hotrod Deville at a pawn shop in 2001 ( which makes me assume it's older than that) and it works fine. I spoke to a reputable amp shop here in Atlanta that had done some work on my amp and he recommended this one to me.
Controling the selection of channels should be its responsibility. It is possible, however, that the labels will differ.
There is no chance of that happening. To be a champion, you'll need one that's tailored specifically to you
It does not have a knob. There is no connection since this is a control circuit and not an I/O. A volume pedal would allow you to control the signal to the amp. In addition, the drive (and more drive) settings at the amplifier can be set to be louder when you select them when using this pedal.

The hot rod deville 2x12 that I currently own was defective and I ordered it from musicians friend as the one I received from Amazon did not change to the crunch channel, only "more drive. "
I am giving this piece a three star rating due to its bulky design. There's something about the looks of this pedalboard that just doesn't seem to fit into a traditional pedalboard. It appears to be pretty durable, but they've tried to make the look sleek and modern, while most Fender fans prefer the The cable it comes with is cheap/flimsy and only 8 feet long, so it deserves three stars. If you plan to park your amp behind you at a show and have slack on it in any way, then you will need a different one. If you're a guitarist or guitarist, then this pedal will end up costing you over $50 if you buy a new cable for it. It does the job overall, but there are a few things that bring me headaches.
In an attempt to make a DIY pedal for a Hot Rod Deville III, I failed after 8 hours. After finding this and spending $35, I now have a pedal that matches my Hot Rod Deville III perfectly. Enhances the HRD III by adding two channels. The pedal is very sturdy, has excellent LED visibility, and comes with a speaker cord that is 10 feet long. I got the CD at 2pm and was playing it with my country band by With this pedal's price and quality, doing it yourself is a waste of time, plus the inside electronics are way beyond your average DIY, as there is a whole circuit inside that interacts with the amp's circuit. This is not just a box with two push buttons. You will not be able to use that with the Hot Rod line, as it contains the real Fender pedal's complementary circuit inbuilt. It has been a pleasure to make music with this great pedal and I am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
The material is like a This comes with a long cable, but the inputs and outputs can be swapped In the future I hope that Fender uses this design to build the entire line of guitars, I definitely would replace some older ones. This book is highly recommended!.
bought this pedal for my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III amp and it is great! Fender's branded cord is included with the pedal, as well as a heavy (in a good way) feeling pedal. The functionality of switching to the 'more drive' channel and then back to the 'drive' channel is very useful! It's easy to operate the switches, and the lights tell you what channel you're on if you can't tell. Add this to your HRD amp for a sweet sound.
The description of this accessory refers to the Fender stage 160, but it doesn't work with it. Oh no, that's a big disappointment. Yesterday I returned to the office.
It's a bit expensive for what it is, but it's a far more durable build than the one that came with my Hot Rod Deluxe some 10 years.
