Putting the switch in the kit was problematic due to overheating a couple of lugs while trying to desolder a PCB. Therefore, I had no choice but to purchase Using an iron is not a problem for me. However, the bulk of my experience prior to my new hobby was soldering hobby battery terminals to large battery bases 20 mm and larger The wire is 8 gauge. I mention this because I wonder if I ruined the switch when I removed it from the At the time, I did not have a vise to hold the switch in place, so I had to hold it with my soldering iron as I soldered a few of the lugs. Even so, the switch I took from this supply holds up well and still works. Therefore, I expect none of the samples in this shipment to be duds. Because of that, I am confident these are of good quality.

OK, but a loud click can be heard

It has a good number of switches for its price. It is made of strong materials and is It does take a decent amount of force to switch them and they make a loud click when they do. Switches have been smoother in the past when I've used them.

I think it's ok for simple stompboxes, but I would suggest investing more in smoother builds for professional builds.

The lugs must not be heated for too long, otherwise they will come loose

Avoid heating the lugs for too long, as that may cause them to loosen up. There is a lot of delicate glue on this item. As soon as the lug pulls free, there is no fixing it, so that switch is effectively rendered useless as a.

I really love these switches because they are a cut above the usual "cheap" ones available online. The epoxy keeps their shape even under high heat. Even though the latch could be smoother, this product is still a bargain for the price.
