Questions & Answers

The compact version has an extra mouthpiece, can it be used? Are you talking about the one or the other?

Yes, there are slots for two mouthpieces on this case and the pouch on the outside is designed to hold valve oil, slide grease, pencils and extra mouthpieces in its compartment. Additionally, I placed a chamois, screwdriver, and an extra string inside that pouch.

What are we looking at here? Amazon. What do I do, as someone else asked, if it doesn't work for me? There is a Fritz Karl Dressel compensating horn I have from 1959. Do you think it will ?

With an adjustable strap and moulded section that connects to velcro hooks, this case has a lot of versatility. The horn adjusts extremely well and I would be very surprised if the horn did not fit you. Depending on the diameter of the wrap around your horn, there may be an issue. There might be an issue if the child is older than It is 5 inches long.

Is this case small enough to fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat on an airplane?

Yes, it is. Flying all over the U.S. was one of the many things I did. It was easy to take this case with me on the plane when I went to the US and Europe. On all my flights, I was able to put it in the overhead storage compartment, except for one time when I was on a small Under the seat, I placed it in that instance. Nothing to worry about!

Can an Alexander 103 be used?

There is no doubt that this is Since the 103 has a slightly smaller wrap and bell, I'm fairly sure it would match, especially since the 103 has a slightly smaller wrap. As the horn on my head is a little bigger than the one on the Alex, it fits easily. The case has several features that can be adjusted, so it will fit well. I only have to wiggle around my clebsch strap because it is attached to my bra

You can find Dillon Music here! Jim, thanks for your kind words! I was extremely anxious to receive this item, and when it showed up I was deflated to find it was damaged
5/5

It was my first time ordering from Dillon music, so I was a bit hesitant since it wasn't actually coming The process for returning the item initially began through Amazon, but I soon decided to contact Dillon music directly to let them know how it went.

At this point, I thought that this would certainly turn out to be an awful experience, but I'm glad I was wrong. When I called Dillon Music, Jim picked up the phone to help In addition to being attentive, he is a very empathetic listener and wants to have the situation resolved quickly. We were contacted by Protec directly within an hour of him requesting photos of the case with the damage. A replacement was sent to us by the manufacturer as a result of his coordination. Oh my gosh! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought this would happen! There was no better outcome for me than this. When I first got the item, I was incredibly sad that we would have to return it and still have to find a store that carried this case, since we did not receive one. We had a great time working with Dillon Music, and more specifically, Jim. I am truly looking forward to purchasing from them again and again now that this shopping experience has been so good! It really is a great case, as far as the case is concerned. Specifically, there are rips on the inside material that we are concerned about. I was concerned about the holes getting worse after a period of separation in the material. I think the case is excellent despite those minor shortcomings! The case is very well padded and protects the instrument well. In the past, we would have gotten a higher-end case, but after reading so many great reviews about this case, we decided to go with this one- This case appears to be well-made and solid, and I imagine it'll be very secure for our custom Horn. It just so happens that we get one that is flawed - We're waiting on a replacement for it, and it may take awhile. As a side note, Protec was also an amazing partner to work with. This was a really great experience all around! It has the best protection for your Horn case (Protec) I especially recommend Jim, thanks for your kind words!.

This product is excellent for use with Holton screws An instrument for ringing bells
5/5

Exactly what I was looking for for my Holton H279 A handy little compartment holds mouthpieces, valve oil, and an electronic tuner device a mute cannot be accommodated, but that is rarely an issue in the sets Especially if you add backpack straps to it, this case is much easier to carry around than the OEM case.

I have no objections to this Those involved in this case have done an excellent job
5/5

internal storage space in this case, but if you buy this case, you'll probably be interested in a compact case, which you'll certainly Despite having a small case, I was pleasantly surprised by the durability and protection it offers. As a precautionary measure, I checked with an Alexander dealer and a couple of professional mechanics before placing my expensive Alexander in this case. I have a horn that fits into the case snugly, but the rotors still operate while it's inside, and there is also no pressure on any of the slide locations. Despite that snug fit, the case still offers wonderful protection, which allows it to remain a tiny, affordable, and sturdy.

A new horn case has been made
4/5

In the same way as It is one of the better options for airline cabin baggage because of its compact size. I like the tight fit, I love the bell hat and I would like to thank Amazon for the excellent price. I also think the case looks very classy (not a gig bag, but a hard-shelled case). The pocket on the exterior of the music folder can be used to hold a laptop or music folder. The pouch that contains the mouthpiece is removable (velcro)
dislikes the inner velcro straps are somewhat confusing, and the large outside shoulder strap that appears in the picture is There is no room for a mute, the interior accessory compartments are not flexible and the shape of the compartments is odd. (If mute is to stop, a space at the bottom would be useful) • It would have been ideal to have a velcro pouch on the open space. I am warning you that it is a bit heavy There is no room for my lawson with a clebsch strap, so I have to wiggle it You'd better watch out for the geyer and hoyer players. I am not a fan of orange stitching. In the external pocket, you will be able to store a large music folder, but it will not be covered completely.

I appreciate your work on this With this case I feel really good even though it is really protective and fits well on double horns
4/5

I'm pleased with it particularly the fact that I can travel with it. It's only a glitch in the video that they showed a magnetic pouch for the mouthpiece, but this is actually just a Belcro case. The protection that this provides is wonderful, however.

Although it seems strong, it does a good job of protecting instrument
5/5

The Pro Tec case is considerably lighter than the older version.
The packaging is smaller, but the instrument seems to be protected well, and the shel seems sturdy.

The product is moderately priced and readily available
3/5

Although I found shopping for a new horn difficult, I have found it just as difficult to shop for a new case. The Delta Airlines website reported at the time of this writing that it carries The dimensions of the carry-on require 45 linear inches (114 cm) of length, width, and height together, including any handles or wheels, and the bag has to fit inside the carry-on without difficulty. " (Approximate dimension 56 x 35 x 23 cm when checked in at Baggage Check, or 22" x 14" x 9"). Everyone who has flown recently knows that, once again, passengers regularly ignore those dimensions and bring their wheeled Winnebagos on board as if they were a normal suitcase On the plane, you can take one suitcase of any size. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, let's be honest It is not a very large number 9" (23 cm) is a relatively small area. The depth of this case is 2" more than the prescribed depth. A non-stop flight should be able to fit it in the overhead bin A regional focus Can you fit in a jet this size? I think so. What is the size of the under-seat storage? I think so as well. Is there any reason you'd trust that some crabby gate agent won't be a hardliner and force you to gate check it regardless? This is not the case for me. My heart skips a beat when I hear this. As a matter of fact, it appears to be fine. What I don't like about how the bell floats inside in its small "stocking cap" is that the bell is free to float wherever. I would be more comfortable if there were a strap or something to secure the bell sleeve inside. is also not extremely tight fitting, so you will likely need to do some extra padding yourself (foam blocks if you have any, or rolled up hand towels, for instance). I will be playing a Hoyer 6802 instrument. The iPac is more accessible than the Marcus Bonna or other compact cases, which aren't sold everywhere. In addition, the price tag is easier to swallow than that of You may need to customize it to complete the job correctly, but it's probably a fine choice for a compact, mainstream case if you're willing to allow for some customization.
