The grease, sauce, and oils are well contained by the splatter screen
5/5

I despise it when my kitchen is splattered with oil and grease. When I had a glass cooktop, it wasn't so bad, but cleaning my gas stove is a nightmare! I've tried three different splatter screens in the past, but some oil continues to splatter onto the stove. However, instead of using a screen to keep splatters at bay, you can use a solid lid to steam rather than fry your food. This splatter screen in particular appeals to me because it features a fine mesh rather than the larger holes found on some other brands. br>br>Aspects of this screen that I find appealing:
- It's made of 18/8 stainless steel, which is extremely tough and long-lasting. This indicates that it contains 18% chromium as well as 8% nickel. Nickel allows for strong welds (in the handles), making it more durable and less prone to denting. The mesh on top is stainless steel as well, but it is made of a less expensive material. There is no nickel in it.
- Although this tightly knit screen allows steam to escape, it does so with far less splatter than some of the other screens.
- The grip is both comfortable and non-slip. tenacious
- The 11/5" diameter fits over most pots and pans and nestles neatly against cabinet lids. I even use it to cover my square cast iron pan, and it works perfectly! In the past, I've had splatter screens that dripped oil over the pan's edges, but not this one!
- The handle is firmly attached to the screen.
- The stainless steel is bent on the bottom of the screen to create "feet" that help it stay in place in the pan and rest on your counter.
- This screen has multiple uses, including draining water from pans.
- Clean up is simple with this splatter screen.
- This is due to the fact that it is a light-weight material. The pan well is visible through a colored metal screen. What this model lacks in comparison to other models on the market: br>br>
- You can get screens that are 13" or even 15" in size. This one is a little smaller, but it'll suffice for most jobs. br>- Just keep in mind the size. A thin folding design is used on some screens. That is not the case.
- The handle is not covered in either plastic or silicone. It's possible that you'll have to be cautious when grabbing it. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with this display. Now if it could only absorb the entire odor! (In the summer, I have an induction burner that I can use outside to solve the problem of the house smelling like a restaurant. ).

Allows steam to escape while containing a large amount of spillage
5/5

The AmazonCommercial Stainless Steel Splatter Screen is a great way to keep frying pan spatters contained in your kitchen. When I fry a steak or fish, I usually have to stand a long way back to avoid getting sprayed by the random oil drops that seem to find every bare spot of skin on my arms. While using the lid effectively reduces spatter, it also traps moisture inside, resulting in less crispy edges. The spatter screen is an excellent item for keeping larger spatters away from me while allowing the pan to vent. The screen is well-made, light, and provides adequate coverage for most pots. The mesh is fine enough to keep all spatter in while wide enough to allow steam to vent out, and there are small "feet" on one side of the screen to keep it off the counter when you want to take it off the pot and put it down somewhere. This screen also works well on pots when boiling thick sauces that tend to splatter large amounts of liquid, such as spaghetti sauce or thick soups. It's easy to clean and can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand without warping, making it a useful item to have on hand if you frequently pan fry food and don't want your arms to get burned by a stray drop of oil or sauce.

It's sturdy, well-made, and a joy to use
5/5

Frying is a messy process, with oil splattering all over the place. When I cover the pan with a lid, however, the steam is trapped inside, resulting in soggy rather than crispy food. This splatter guard is extremely useful in this situation because it keeps oil inside the pan while allowing steam to escape, ensuring crispy fried food. This splatter guard is an excellent kitchen accessory. It's made of gleaming stainless steel with a bright silver chrome finish and is quite heavy. I got my last splatter screen for a buck at the dollar store, but that was it. It didn't last long because the handle came loose, the wire mesh snagged and bent easily, and the entire thing rusted in the dishwasher. This splatter guard is of high quality and has withstood repeated use and dishwasher washing. The little "feet" are also a nice touch, as they allow me to place the guard on the counter without having to worry about it getting oily. Touched the counter with a splattered screen br>br>Overall, this is a well-made, heavy-duty product. a light-weight kitchen tool that performs well and lasts a long time.

So I didn't use it for what it was designed for: Frying Mesh Guard
5/5

I recently purchased a new smoker with which I have been experimenting. One of those items is smoked salt, which can be made with one of these handy devices (coarse salt only, of course). To fit it in most electric smokers, you'll have to take off the handle. So that's what I did. br>br> And I'm pleased to report that it was tough enough to withstand the abuse of having the handle removed, as well as fine enough to hold the majority of the coarse salt used in this experiment. It was easy to clean (I threw it in the dishwasher) and has held up well even without the handle's added wire. As a result of my experiments, I believe it will perform well for its intended purpose. The mesh is quite fine. br>br>I'm really happy with it, and I'm thinking about getting one to use for frying. M.
