It didn't feel or act like any other cotton I'd ever encountered. br>It's made of a rough fabric. unwilling to soak up water I had no idea it needed to be boiled before using it. The fabric was beige in color. a few hues During the boiling process, an odor was released. There is no way in hell I would have put anything edible inside this shambles! I threw it away once it had cooled. The pot it was boiled in was not only washed, but also disinfected! Nasty!.

For me, cheesecloth is an essential item. The edges are sewn all the way around to prevent raveling, making this a very durable and usable product. In addition, the weave is flawless. In general, this is a fantastic product.
