Do I still need to wash my rice with this cooker if I'm making jasmine rice, sushi, or brown rice? What has been your experience so far?

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. To remove excess starch from all types of rice, we recommend rinsing it three to four times. For more information, please contact Zojirushi America Customer Service at 1-888-Zojirushi. 800- 733- For more information, call 6270 or email [email protected]. com

When I set it quickly, then cancel it and start another function, H01 appears. What does this mean?

The unit is too hot to start a new function, as indicated by the H01 error code. So you'll have to wait until it cools down, because once it starts to heat up, you won't be able to easily change it.

Is the stainless steel silver or champagne in color? Both colors are visible in the photos. ?

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. The main body is made of silver stainless steel, with a dark brown plastic frame. For more information, please contact Zojirushi America Customer Service via email at [email protected]. com

Happy! Downsized from a 10 cup rice cooker to a 3 cup rice cooker! This 3 cup Zojirushi rice cooker (NS-3) has been downsized from a 10 cup Zojirushi rice cooker
4/5

LHC05XT). br>br>I eat rice on a regular basis, but when I cook only a few cups in a 10-cup rice cooker, it dries out quickly and takes up a lot of room. So I finally gave in and downsized to this 3 cup Zojirushi, and I'm glad I did! PROS: br>br>
- Kitchen space is saved by being compact. br>- All of the functions I require (brown rice, porridge, white rice, mixed rice, jasmine rice, quick, keep warm, and two timer settings) are still available. br>- It's a good value for what it does and how well it works (I paid $149 tax)br>- It includes a rice cup. a scooper for ricebr>- In fact, it's very simple to use.
- Rice is always cooked to perfection! CONS: br>br>
- WHEN YOU'RE DONE, MAKE SURE TO CLICK "CANCEL"! (or simply unplug)br>***This was a complete slap in the face to me. I've owned a lot of rice cookers in the past, but this is the first one that doesn't turn off when I remove the bowl. I was completely unaware of this, and my rice cooker "stayed warm" until the next morning, when it contained nothing, not even a bowl. ***Please, Zojirushi, fix this!
- When scooping from the rice bowl, it keeps rotating. Because there is no "stopper" function, when I try to scoop rice, the bowl inside the rice cooker keeps rotating, and I'm concerned that this will damage or scratch the cooker's bottom. My 10-cup rice cooker had a handle on the bowl that kept it from rotating because it was attached to the rice cooker. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with the product's quality, and I will continue to purchase Zojirushi rice cookers.

I bought this to replace my old GE rice cooker and it makes perfect single servings of jasmine rice with no effort
5/5

I've never had a bowl of rice that was so delicious, with perfectly cooked grains that weren't mushy or melded together. With the GE rice cooker, this was impossible to achieve. Being able to prepare one serving of rice is invaluable to me as a single person. Unless I made 2 or more cups of rice at a time, the GE rice cooker was unhappy. br>The size of this machine is ideal for my small counter tops. br>It also weighs a quarter of what my old rice cooker did, and it has a convenient handle. br>My favorite type of rice is jasmine, and this machine has a special setting for it. That was my first bowl out of the machine, and it was delicious!.

I'm not sure why I waited this long
5/5

I've owned a couple of the pot-style rice cookers that sell for $20 to $50 in the US and found that they had issues with boiling over, scorching the bottom of the rice, and not holding rice at temperature for long periods of time, making them difficult to use for someone who doesn't have a set time off work. My Asian friends advised me to use Zojirushi or Tiger rice cookers to avoid these problems, and they were correct. I've had it for about a week now, and I've made one batch of sushi short grain rice that rivaled any I've had in sushi restaurants, and I've had fresh, hot rice jook (rice porridge) two mornings this week, oatmeal one morning (check the Zojirushi website for cooking compatibility on machines that don't have the specific functions), and fresh, hot white or brown rice ready for me when I got home, one time at 17:45. 00, as well as twice after 21 o'clock: 00, so I can confidently state that the keep warm function is functional. My only regret is that I didn't invest in one of these machines five years ago.

It's pricey, but it's a good investment! This is the most expensive rice cooker I've ever purchased, but it does an excellent job of keeping your rice freshly cooked and warm for up to 36 hours, and it doesn't burn the rice at all even when left on warm mode for long periods of time
5/5

br>White Jasmine rice and Brown rice are cooked to perfection! The only con I can think of is that it takes longer to cook than the typical Walmart brand, an average of 52 minutes even if you only cook 1 cup. But I'm fine with slow cooking for a long time if the texture is perfect. br>When the unit is turned on and when the rice is cooked, it plays music that will make you smile.

Why would you want to invest more? Because it is well worth the effort
5/5

If you're wondering why a rice cooker costs so much, it's because it's a luxury item. It's because it's capable of much better rice cooking. This is the second rice cooker I've bought from Zojirushi. The last one, who was 5 years old, I couldn't take with me. This one is even better because it tells you when the rice is ready (the previous one kept you guessing until the 10 minute countdown). If you accurately measure the water level and use the measuring device, you'll be fine. Sushi rice if you like sticky rice, regular rice if you want a sauce on it, and GABA rice if you want a bowl of healthy rice. This was an excellent purchase. br>br>Don't skimp on this; it's critical to get quality here, and this is quality.

WARNING! White rice takes 60 minutes to cook, while brown rice takes 98 minutes! White has a "quick" setting of 39 minutes! I thought it was just my cooker, but other reviews say it takes 90 minutes to cook white rice
3/5

br>It makes good rice, but my other Zojirushi took 22 minutes to cook white rice. It takes 24 minutes to complete. br>br>Of the three Zojirushi rice cookers I've owned, this is the only one that cooks brown rice in under an hour and a half, 1 hour and 38 minutes! br>br>Many times I've forgotten to start the rice at 4:45 p. m. , and I've ended up cooking something else instead. 30pm! Alternatively, I arrived home at 5 p. m. I've been using it for a year and am finally looking for a replacement because of the absurdly long cook times. br>br>It just seems absurd; I've been using it for a year and am finally looking for a replacement because of the absurdly long cook times. br>br>I'm no expert, but I don't think making white rice in 39 minutes qualifies as "quick. " If the long cook times don't bother you, it's a good rice cooker. br>br>If the long cook times don't bother you, it's a good rice cooker.

I debated whether to buy the 3 cup or the 5 cup version of this high-quality product because it makes excellent rice
4/5

Version with 5 cups (NS-) TSC10). This one appealed to me because I was concerned that 3 cups would be excessive. On my first attempt, I made 3 cups of rice, which turned out beautifully, though it filled the entire pot, making stirring difficult and messy. Since stirring is recommended in the guide, I thought the cooking pot should be a little larger. br>br>That's my only complaint, and it's a fantastic quality unit. I exchanged it for a larger unit, which I expect to be just as happy with.
