This rice cooker works well in the microwave. I've used the large one to make rice several times and it always comes out fluffy. The top air vent on the small one makes it ideal for reheating food. The large one stands about 7" tall and 8" wide, while the small one stands about 4" tall and 6" wide.
I make 3 cups of cooked rice from 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in my microwave rice cooker, which I love! Mine takes about 12 minutes to cook on high.
I usually only make 2 cups (uncooked) at a time, which fills the pot about halfway. After the rice is cooked, I never measure it. I hope this information is useful.

I put one cup long grain white rice in the cooker (I've never rinsed my rice before cooking in all the years I've ever cooked rice, so I didn't use this), 2 cups liquid (I used low sodium chicken broth), stirred the rice and liquid with the paddle, then put on the Pressure chamber plate (tabs up), then the Lid, making sure the holes in the top lid are offset from the holes on the pressure chamber plate. Then I locked the lid and cooked for 12 minutes (as instructed by the Cooking Guideline) at power level 8. When it was done cooking, I removed it from the microwave and fluffed the rice with the paddle for 5 minutes before removing the lid and pressure chamber plate. Rice that is perfectly cooked and does not stick together! The rice tasted fantastic. I placed the leftovers in a small bowl. I used liquid soap to wash the cooker by hand. I have other Sistema products that I've had for about ten years and I NEVER put them in the dishwasher because they are so easy to wash by hand and return to new condition. This rice cooker is extremely simple to use and produces delicious rice in a short amount of time! SUCCESS the first time you use it!.
This tiny rice cooker is one of my favorites! I've had it for a long time but have only used it for hot cereals rather than rice. I used my Aroma simply stainless steel for rice every time. Then one day, I decided to give this rice cooker a try and immediately fell in love with it. It's much easier to clean, and there's no waste, whereas with the Aroma, I'd waste at least a third of the rice; with this rice cooker, I make one cup at a time, and it makes three cups, which is more than enough. It's as simple as that. I liked it so much that I bought one for my mother, who enjoys how easy it is to use. It's also extremely durable. Love it!.
I bought it specifically because I needed/wanted a microwave rice cooker. This is probably not the best option if you're looking for a quick way to cook rice (not instant rice). I didn't want to save time, but I did want to avoid using my stove and pots. Check the package of your favorite rice to see how long it takes to cook in the microwave. In my case, I was using Basmati Brown Jasmine rice, and the difference in time between stove and microwave was only five minutes, but the product did cook the rice nicely, which is all I really wanted to do, so I like this cooker. Clean- It was simple to get to the top. There is a website with recipes and tips, but I haven't looked at it yet. br>br>When I cooked my brown rice, I followed the instructions on the package for rice/water ratios and cooking time. When it came to arranging the inner and outer lids, I followed the cooker's instructions. Because this is for times when I don't want to use the stove (or don't have enough space on the stove to cook rice), I didn't brown the rice first. I used the exact cooking time of 25 minutes for the rice, and due to my elevation, I believe I will need to add an additional five minutes of cooking time. My advice is to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of microwaving rice in your specific oven before you need it, starting with the package instructions for your specific rice and making small adjustments from there.
I'll never order from you again because I was supposed to get a small bowl and a spoon with the steamer but all I got was the steamer.
Both bowls were thrown by me. in the receptacle for trash There are instructions in every language imaginable, but there are none for cooking oatmeal in a small bowl. I made a 1-to-1 mix. 2 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 I couldn't seem to find any instructions that were simple and easy to follow. I needed to get out of the house as quickly as possible. Due to a bowl over, I had to clean my microwave twice. After reading an article about how every person consumes enough microplastics in a week to swallow a credit card, I decided to cook my oatmeal on low heat in a pan on the stove, as I did every morning. I can cook my oatmeal with blueberries or cranberries, flax seed, coconut, sunflower seeds, and vanilla, and there will be no spillovers or deviations from the norms. I'm back on track now that I'm not making new wheels.
For the first time in my life, I made delicious rice! I followed the microwave instructions on some Goya boxes/flavored rice and it turned out perfectly; the flavors are more perfect, more intense, or something. To be honest, this is the first edible/palatable rice I've ever made; mine is always mushy. Alternatively, it could be undercooked, then overcooked, resulting in mush. That is no longer the case!.
I was a big fan of Systema products and bought a rice cooker, soup mugs, soup bowls, noodle bowl, and egg cooker a few years ago. I planned to stock my motorhome with similar items when I bought it. As a result, I made a Christmas list for them. The company's plastic formula was altered somewhere along the way. These new products do what they say they'll do, but they're not as long-lasting as the old ones. These new ones, in fact, are far more fragile. My soup bowl was broken like glass when it arrived. Reordering was something I never did. I'm keeping what I got, but I'm not going to buy anything else. Too bad.
Just wow. I adore Sisteema products in general, but this one blew me away. It cooks rice to perfection and is incredibly simple to clean. When the rice is done, it simply slides out of the pan, and I don't have to cook in multiple pans or scrape burnt rice from a pan. br>br>I even cooked orzo in the bowl, and it was delicious. br>br>I appreciate the inclusion of a second bowl.
