Questions & Answers

Is there any lead in this crock pot?

I tried calling Crockpot to inquire about this, but they were not available. I've got a 50-year-old one. They referred me to a third-party vendor who did not even create the crockpot plug. Yes, I was told, I should get a new model, but they only made stove top crocks, as far as I understood. br>I believe that if you have an older model, you should replace it because the rules regarding lead in products changed a while ago. I even had to throw away some old plates that I had been using. Due to the poor customer service and inability to communicate with them, I do not believe I will purchase a crock pot.
when I finally got to talk to a supervisor she helped, I believe, and as I understand it,
I was told 100% no lead BUT was told%

Is it just a matter of choosing between low, high, and keep warm settings, or do you have to program it?

I've had it for three years and the low setting will only allow me to simmer or warm. I'm going to put something else in its place- Mine was purchased in January of this year.

What are the slow cooker's dimensions?

With the lid on, the outside measurements are approximately 13"L X 9"W X 10" D - The inside dimensions of the crock are approximately nine inches. 5L X 7. 5W X 4. 25D. It has a capacity of 3 1/2 quarts of liquid. I hope this information is useful.

Is there a light to indicate that the cooker is on?

Yes. Simmer, Warm, High, Low, and Timer are the settings available. Each setting is brought to life by the light.

It's not made the same way anymore! Disappointing in the extreme
3/5

For years, I've had this particular slow cooker. Because of my previous experience with my old cooker, my husband cracked the inner pot while washing it, and I immediately reordered the same cooker. Nope. I didn't read any of the most recent reviews. When I opened this item, the metal rim from the inside liner of the pot that overlaps the outside metal part of the pot had popped off and was no longer gripping the outside metal casing. Worst of all, the inner ceramic pot was misshapen. My old lid was flat and tight, preventing all of the hot air from escaping. This lid slid and rolled all over the place. The lip on which the lid rests is no longer flat, as it was in my original; instead, it is curved and rolls down into the pot. The original lip was very flat, as you can see. (As you can see in the photo, the old crock is on the left. ) ) There was almost a quarter-inch gap for heat to escape in some places. My old Cuisinart was a dream come true for me. This one appears to be identical, but it is so poorly constructed that it is heartbreaking. I've already packed it in preparation for my return.

Purchase is not recommended
3/5

Mine was broken and had to be replaced, which was very expensive! It isn't functioning correctly. The temperature rises to 210 degrees when on the "warm" cycle. I used the product twice, and the first time I thought I'd made a mistake. It was only after it happened again that I realized it was the machine, which Amazon refused to return. Cuisinart claims it's covered under warranty, but I'll have to pay to ship the broken crockpot to them, as well as $10 for shipping and processing a replacement. That appears to be a significant sum of money for a product that never worked properly to begin with!.

It has its own mind
3/5

The first time I used it (which wasn't often), it worked perfectly. The second time, it kept beeping and changing from high to low. I wanted it to be turned up to eleven. I unplugged it in the hopes that it would'reset' and resume normal operation. It also refused to turn on. I wondered if it was because it was too hot(?). ), so I switched my dinner to an older, non-programmable crock pot. I plugged this one back in a few days later. nothing. It is still not working. br>This is inexcusable.

Perfect Size, Great Features at a Great Price! We bought this crockpot because we were previously cooking for just two people in a 6 quart one! We needed something smaller, so I did some research and came up with a list of characteristics I was looking for in a crock
5/5

1. Timer with a digital display.
2. An automatic warming setting, in which the oven switches to a warm setting after the designated cooking time has passed, preventing your food from burning or overcooking.
3. There are three settings available: high, low, and simmer.
4. br>Pros: Size is 2 quart. br>Cons: Size is 2 quart. br> I love the blue glow of the digital light in this crock pot, which has almost every feature on my wish list. I cooked a Sabbath cholent right out of the box in this pot, a dish that takes nearly 24 hours to prepare, and it turned out beautifully. The timer ran for 24 hours, then switched to a warm setting, and the food came out perfectly cooked and without being burned. br>For what we got, this crackpot was a good deal. I feel like I've added a high-quality appliance to my kitchen, and that the price was reasonable considering all of its features. I can also keep it on my counter because it doesn't take up a lot of room! My larger pot, on the other hand, is a different story. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Although it is slightly larger than 2 quarts, it does not appear to be excessively large. Even after halving all of my recipes, I still end up with too much food! But that's a problem with the recipe, not with the crock. br>The lid has a sloppy feel to it. It does not have a rubber seal around the lid like my larger crockpot. My other pot, on the other hand, has a tiny steam vent in the lid, whereas this one does not, so perhaps that is why the lid seal isn't as good: to release steam that has been under pressure br>br>Overall, I think this is a fantastic product that I would purchase again! I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others. br>Many thanks for an excellent product!.

It was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

I had hoped for something smaller because there are only two of us, and I was concerned that this would be too small, but it is not. I liked that it had a simmer button, because many of the new slow cookers cook way too hot these days, causing me to burn things, so I figured that would be useful. I'm still learning how to use it, so I'm not sure when to use it. I used it for the first time to make beef stew and went back and forth, really testing the settings. On high, I didn't notice it burning or getting too hot like some others have, but I also didn't use it all day like you would. So I'm not sure about that part yet, but it did a fantastic job, and I'm very happy with it. I can't speak to longevity because others have complained that it didn't last long, but for now, I am very happy with this slow cooker; it is exactly what I was looking for. I'll update after I've used it more, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I don't think you'll be dissatisfied with this, and I certainly won't be.

Be Wary of the Buyer! One of these has already been returned, and I received a replacement from Amazon very quickly
3/5

After a few weeks of use, the LED light on the original became faulty and stopped reading for me. And now, believe it or not, it's happened yet again! My LED light is only giving me what appear to be hieroglyphic readings, so I'm not sure what's going on with my cooker settings. The power light flashes on and off, and the room heats up. However, I have no idea what's going on inside that pot! It's a mystery to me how this cooker receives such positive feedback. This appliance cannot afford to have two corrupted products in a row. Before you spend your money, I strongly advise you to read the negative reviews. Cuisinart, you're a jerk!.

I've been doing this for about a year and am extremely happy with it
5/5

Anything that needs to be cooked slowly on low heat is a good choice. I've been using it for about a year and am very happy with it. Slow cooking anything on low for the recommended time in almost every recipe I've tried has resulted in excellent quality, texture, and unity. It's very simple to use and clean. If you're new to slow cooking, keep in mind that liquid does not reduce nearly as much as it does in a stove or oven. When your entree is done, you may want or need to spend some time on the stove or counter top making a stew, soup, sauce, or gravy, skimming fat and then reducing and/or thickening it.
