Questions & Answers

Why does the steam come from the side rather than the top?

One of the seals, most likely the grey seal under the removable lid, is in the wrong place. The lines on the seal and the "0" on the stainless steel must be perfectly aligned, or the steam will escape through the sides where the handles are located. Please take a look at the video that goes with this article.

Aluminum is used for the inner pot, which is non-reactive. stick? Wasn't it solid stainless steel to begin with? Could you please elaborate?

I believe it is made of aluminum and is nonstick.

Where are the multi-cooker functions that have been pre-programmed?

In the menu selection, you'll find left and right arrows. When you click the arrows, you'll be presented with a number of pre-programmed options to choose from. When you hover your mouse over an option, it will blink. To use this feature, go to your options and select "pressure cook." " I hope this information is useful:

When it comes to reheating rice, does it make any sounds (others make a clicking)?

One of the buttons can be used by two people at the same time. "Keep worm" is one click, and "reheat" with sound is a double click. Mine is an older model, but I believe it to be the same.

How to change the default Korean language of voice navigation to English
5/5

The voice navigation on the cooker is set to Korean by default, and the manual's instructions for changing it to English are not easy to follow, and it took me a long time to figure out how to do it. There are four steps in total:
1. Enter changing mode by pressing 'Auto Clean' once. br>2. To change the language of your voice, press and hold 'Auto Clean' for 3 seconds. The flashing of '0:' will be visible. 0' is the current Korean voice setting. br>3 Select 'Menu' from the drop-down menu that appears. ' to go from '0:' to '1:' 0' to '0: You will now hear a voice in English if you press '1'.
4. To save and exit, press 'Pressure Cook/ Glutin Turbo'. Done!.

Great cooker, but the lid opens too quickly and needs a slow-opening hinge
4/5

I would give this item 5 stars if it didn't lack one essential feature: a slow-opening top. The cooker could easily topple over if you simply press the open button and let the lid open on its own. When you open it, keep your hand on the lid and slowly open it, as the weight of the lid and the speed with which it opens can easily cause the momentum to flip the entire cooker. A slow open hinge is built into the more expensive model, and for the price of this model, I would expect it to have that feature as well.

Love it! I bought this to replace a Cuckoo 6qt rice cooker that I had for ten years
5/5

I read other reviews about how the top flings open, but when I press the button, it doesn't fling open properly. It opens slowly at first, then flings open out of nowhere. To keep the rice cooker from tipping over, I simply place my hand on top of it. This is, in my opinion, a minor annoyance. When rice is left in the rice cooker on warm, it cooks perfectly and does not turn yellow. I waited a long time to buy it because I didn't want to spend the money, but I discovered that Amazon sells it for less than most Korean grocery stores. This is something I'm glad I got!.

When the lid is opened, it does so violently, but it is still perfect
4/5

Rice cooker that is perfect. Except for the lid, I gave it to my mother, who says it's in good condition. The lid lunges backwards when you open it, as if it were forced open. Because of the extreme exaggeration of the lid being opened, the entire machine revolts and moves backwards. I'm not sure how the company managed to overlook this product's flaw.

I like it, but the cap is difficult to lock after a few months
3/5

The following is an update from January 2022: br>This cooker has ceased to function properly. The steam escapes before the timer goes off, causing the cooking to come to a halt in the middle of the process. When this happens, I have to cook again because the rice isn't up to par. I believe the one I purchased is defective. br>br>Update February 2021br>I really like this brand and the fluffy rice it produces, but this cooker is giving me a hard time locking the cap every time I try. I had to lock and unlock the device several times before it would work. After about 5 months of ownership, it began to behave in this manner. I'm not pleased with myself! I expected to use this piece for at least 5 years because it was so expensive. Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Orig The rice cooker is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. It adds fluffiness and flavor to the rice. Cuckoo is regarded as one of Korea's best pressure rice cooker brands, and its reputation is well deserved. The flavor of the white, brown, and purple rice is far superior to anything that could be made in a regular cooker. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the nonstick inner pot. The only thing to keep in mind is that when using the high heat function to cook rice, the rice at the bottom of the pot will be very hard; this is a unique transitional Korean cooking style, and not everyone will enjoy the hard rice; I learned this after several failed attempts at making fluffy rice. Anyway, if you like rice, you should give this cooker a try. I'm overjoyed that I was able to track it down on Amazon!.

I'm let down
3/5

This new one is a far cry from my old one. This purchase left me feeling very let down. I ordered it and made rice twice; the first was slightly yellowish and smelled strangely, and the second was undercooked. This new rice cooker pales in comparison to my old cuckoo rice cooker. In fact, this was my third cuckoo rice cooker, and it was nothing like the others; It didn't appear to be a genuine cuckoo rice cooker. It cost more than other less expensive rice cookers, but the rice tasted worse. I had to return it, and I was glad I had ordered it from Amazon at the time. I was able to return it with little difficulty.

It's simple to use, but be sure to read the instructions carefully
4/5

This rice cooker makes excellent rice, cooks quickly and thoroughly, and comes closest to cooking rice on the stove of any rice cooker I've tried. To get that stickier texture, I add a little more water than the fill lines suggest, but it still works without being mushy or soggy. br>br>The only issue I've had with this rice cooker is that the removable silicone ring on the lid must be placed precisely in the correct position or the steam will not be released properly. br>br>There is a removable part of the lid with a silicone ring that can be removed for cleaning, but once that is done, there is another silicone ring attached to the lid itself that can be removed for cleaning. After cleaning it, I put it back on and noticed that the water leaked out of the handles the next time I cooked rice. When I looked it up online, I discovered that I had installed the ring incorrectly, and that there are markings that must line up in order for it to work properly. It's fine as long as everything is properly reinstalled on the cooker after cleaning; you just need to make sure everything is lined up correctly.

It was a horrible experience! If there is an option, I wish I could give a zero star rating! In November of 2017, I purchased this rice cooker
3/5

I discovered a large hole in the inner coating yesterday, which I was able to peel off easily! This coating looks like a type of plastic material, but I'm not sure if it's harmful! And you won't be able to locate a replacement pot anywhere! For the sake of your health, do not purchase this item!.
