When it comes to stainless steel, it's usually leftover factory grease. You'd have to scrub it with baking soda and oil before cleaning it with dish soap. If it isn't stainless steel, I agree that it is a cause for concern.
It's somewhere between 6 and 7. The diameter is 5" and the height is 2". I don't think I'd be able to fit more than one vegetable portion into it. For steaming, I continue to use my microwave. It has a light aroma. It can hold a lot of rice, but it only holds enough for two or three servings of a stew.
If you purchase the guarantee with the olla, you will receive it; if you do not purchase the guarantee, you will not receive it. All I can say is that it is large, beautiful, and extremely comfortable.

It's time to prepare the food. Depending on what's cooking, the timer will go off in the last 10 minutes or so. White rice and steamed vegetables were on the menu. I've made risotto from scratch and yellow rice from a box, both of which turned out beautifully. To achieve perfection, simply follow the cooking instructions on the package (not the instructions). br>br>In my house, rice is eaten every day. The option to keep warm is useful for the following day. However, after 24 hours, it will become hard. br>br>I didn't have any problems with over-boiling.
It says 4 cups uncooked rice, but it only holds 2 cups, and the amazon listing claims it to be a 10 cup rice cooker. In the end, it was a huge letdown. Not to mention that the steam hole at the top spits starchy boiling water. I'm not sure I've ever had one that takes nearly an hour to make two cups? Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.
I gave it three stars at first because it worked reasonably well, but the timer is only for rice. br>I reduced it to one star after it began to boil over while making oatmeal. Cleaning up the mess takes longer than making oatmeal in a traditional pot. br>Save your money and buy the cheapest model they have. It's equally effective - As far as I can tell, they're the same. When it boils over, you'll need to clean the lid, which you'll be able to do with the less expensive one. This unit is for you if you want to stand around stirring things while keeping an eye on them.

So far, it appears to be doing its job. I've made rice in it three or four times now, twice setting the timer for it to be ready when I woke up (yes, rice for breakfast), and both times it's worked perfectly. There is, however, a small learning curve to contend with. Allow me to describe what I discovered to be the most effective method for making rice in this contraption. It may or may not work for all rice cookers, but since this is the only one I've ever owned, I can only speak about it. Rule 1: When it comes to making rice, don't follow the included instructions; instead, follow the instructions on the rice packaging first, then adjust. The first batch I made, I followed the included instructions, and the rice came out so sticky it was like paste. The second batch, I followed the rice packaging instructions, which were similar but with less water, and it came out a lot better, but still a little sticky than I would have liked, so I decreased the water a little more and now it's perfect. More sticky means there's too much water in the mix. So far, I've only used this to make white rice. I'm not sure what brand it is, but it's an Asian branded 'white rice,' not Jasmine or another type.
The Aroma ARC-100 is a high-performance aromatherapy device. The design of the 994SB rice cooker is excellent. Stainless steel is used on the exterior. The lid is made of heavy black plastic and is hinged. The cooker is roughly the same size as a large coffee can. A steam vent is located on the lid's top. The cooker's many functions are controlled by ten raised buttons on the face. This rice cooker can be used for a variety of purposes. There are settings for white rice, brown rice, risotto, oatmeal, and steam among the various functions. A spatula, measuring cup, and a small white plastic steamer tray that sits on top of the cooking pot are all included with the purchase. The steamer rack is only a couple of inches deep. On the side wall, there is a centrally located digital display that shows the cooking function and the remaining cooking time. The standard 2-prong electric cord is quite short, and beneath the lid's hinge is a small clear reservoir that collects the water that runs off when the cooker is opened. Cooking takes place in a small pot. This model is intended for two people to use at the same time. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 8 cups cooked rice and 2 tablespoons butter. a one-quart pot It takes about 45 minutes to cook white rice. The steamer rack is a tad on the small side. It wouldn't be able to steam enough meat or vegetables to satisfy the maximum capacity of 8 cups of rice. When cooking the maximum amount of rice, the cooking pot will be completely full, leaving no space for the steamer rack. This rice cooker is suitable for a family of two adults and two children. Aroma ARC-100 was my previous rice cooker. The capacity was 20 cups cooked and the oven temperature was 5200SB. I have the impression that the Aroma ARC- The outer rice in contact with the cooking pot gels and overcooks, as it does with all rice cookers, but the small diameter of this pot seems to increase the unwanted texture in the final product. I wish I had purchased the ARC-SB instead. It's the 5200SB all over again. I usually feed a family of five adults, and this cooker isn't even close to being adequate. For a smaller family, I would suggest this cooker. Because of the size, I gave it three stars overall.
I bought an older model from Costco about 8 years ago, and it was still working fine until someone poured rice into it without the pot in place, filling the base with unrecoverable rice grains in the heating element area. As a result, I decided to purchase the more recent model. It's primarily used for rice, which it excels at. If you don't wash your rice, you'll end up with a problem called "starchy steam. " But, come on, you should be ashamed of yourself if you don't wash your rice. Put your life in order by watching a YouTube video.
This is something I'm glad I purchased. It works well, but since I'm the only one using it, I wish I had purchased a smaller size.
