Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
The Meat Cutting Knife's Material: First and foremost, you should know that this is a huusk chef knife that has been hand forged from high carbon and high manganese steel. It isn't constructed from stainless steel. To avoid rust, keep it clean and dry after each use; however, high carbon steel is better at maintaining sharp edges than stainless steel.
Super Sharp Blade: It's an old huusk japanese forging fillet knife technique that dates back to the Middle Ages and originated in Asia. The hardest high carbon steel is used in the construction of SAN MAI. High carbon steel provides wear resistance, effective cutting, and blade strength, while high manganese steel provides the necessary toughness to prevent the knife from splitting during extended use. The huusk cooking knife will be a steady and dependable work companion for you.
Unique Leather Sheath: To protect the blade, the huusk japanese kitchen knife comes with a useful soft leather sheath. When camping in the outdoors, you can attach a belt to it to make it easier to carry. The camping knife is the perfect companion for butchering, fishing, camping, and outdoor grilling.
Multipurpose Chef Knives: The arched shape of this handcrafted boning knife makes it ideal for a variety of kitchen tasks such as mincing, slicing, and chopping vegetables, slicing meat, and deboning lamb steaks. This knife is also ideal for camping, grilling, and hiking.
Great Service: We guarantee that our butcher knives from Japan will live up to your expectations. We also offer a 12-month warranty for quality-related issues, a 30-day money back guarantee for any reason, and friendly customer service, making this a great collection piece as well as a great gift for family, friends, or yourself.

Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the manufacturer of this knife. ?

This osteotome's blade is made in Japan, and the wooden handle is made in Myanmar. It's made by hand in China by skilled old artisans.

Do you think this would make a good boot knife?

It's a fairly large knife, and I'm not sure I'd use it as such. But there's one thing I'm going to tell you. It's a very sharp knife, but the sheath is so cheap that I had to make my own. Overall, this knife is quite good.

In a butcher shop, would this work as a boning knife?

No, I do not believe so. It's not big enough for that, and it's not heavy enough.

Is the steel 440A or 440 C?

440C

I was looking for a good outdoor cleaver/hunting knife at a reasonable price, and this is it

This is more than a knife; it's one solid piece of beautifully shaped steel from tang to tip
5/5

The sweeping S-shaped design The sweeping convex curve of the blade itself ensures that, regardless of the angle of attack, the edge is always engaged in a shearing cut. Two sturdy brass rivets secure the rosewood handle in place. I reground the edge and honed it to true razor sharpness, removing the secondary bevel to create a more acute cutting angle. Finally, I wrapped a lambskin ribbon around the handle to make it slip-resistant. Fine control and a free grip are two things that come to mind when using this tool. This knife is used for skiving (thinning) leather, which is a difficult task that it accomplishes with ease and precision. Carbon steel blades are easier to sharpen and maintain than stainless steel blades, and they require less honing and stropping. I've spent a lot more money on knives that do much less. This knife would also make a great addition to any well-stocked kitchen. a fully equipped kitchen, or a camping kit Get two.

If you want it to look nice, don't buy it; I bought it for a cheap work knife that I didn't mind ruining
3/5

It's a good thing, too, because if it had been for something else, it would have been returned right away. The blade is rusted, there are scratches on the dark part of the blade near the top, and the sheath is of poor quality. Over all, I'm not impressed, but then again, it's a $25 knife, so what can you expect? I'm just glad I got a tetanus shot.

I really like the knife
4/5

The sheath, on the other hand, is a different story. The knife's weight and heft surprised me, but it's actually quite well balanced. (Pic1) Right out of the box, the full tang's thickness tapers down to a fairly sharp cutting edge. Honing it made it one of the sharpest knives I own (and I have a lot of knives ranging from this price point to over $300 - see below). $600). However, because the handle is only slightly smaller than the full robust tang, it's possible that you'll be "sliced" by the tang while using it. A deer should be gutted and skinned in no time with this knife. The weight and heft of the knife should make it an excellent "cleaver" for cutting meat and bone. I'm considering making this my everyday carry knife, particularly for hunting and trapping. VERY comfortable in the hand, whether blade up or blade down (Photos 2 and 3). The sheath (which I intend to replace or have hand-made to my specifications) does not appear to have been designed with much thought. When carried on the right side, the knife's button snap release is out of reach, making it difficult to quickly release it. When carried "cross-body," the knife's button snap release is within reach. The problem with "draw" is the same. Additional issues include the knife's ability to only be carried "upright" and the back edge of the blade catching on the snap itself (Pic5). It would be nice to see a low-cost sheath, similar to the one that comes with the Tom Brown "Tracker" (which I also own), so that multiple carry options are available. The knife itself is a fantastic value for money and well worth every penny.

I've never had a better knife in my life
5/5

I adore this knife because it's so comfortable to hold and has a nice weight to it. Because I have arthritis, I can't use just any knife in the kitchen, but this one is incredible. It'd be an excellent present. It's packaged in a lovely black gift box. It appears to be very expensive. You can tell this knife was made with great care; it had to be hand forged and crafted by a professional. It's beautifully crafted and extremely versatile; it could be used indoors or outdoors, and it could even be used for hunting. It came in handy for chopping meat and vegetables. Very incisive! I like it so much that I'm going to get another one, as well as the A knife. I'm looking forward to giving it a shot because this one looks fantastic! Oh, and it also comes with a genuine leather sheath that can be used for storage or to attach to a belt, which is very useful! Thank you so much to the creator for creating such a fantastic knife!.

It was disappointing
3/5

Blades made of thick stainless steel and mass-produced in large quantities. This item is not made by hand. The material used to make the sheath is very thin, about 1/16" thick. The thickness is the same as a penny. Once again, mass production has been halted. I was expecting these to be a little nicer than they turned out to be. I don't believe they'll be able to maintain any sort of advantage. The blade is thick, but the edge is razor-sharp and easily chipped. There is no tempering on the cutting edge. I would not recommend this knife as a hunting/survival knife as it is advertised. For a month or so, I might work in the kitchen, cutting something soft like cheese. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied.

What a fantastic knife you've got there! I just got mine in the mail and took it out of the box
5/5

It was well-packaged, and the knife was contained within its sheath, which had a plastic cover on both ends. It's a large, sturdy knife that feels great in the hand, and I'm not sure what these other reviews are talking about when they say the knife isn't "sharp!" "This knife has a razor-sharp edge and a mirror-like finish. Make sure you don't get a cut. I'm considering using it in the kitchen instead of my two other Wustoff boning knives because of its ergonomics and sharpness. This will come in handy when cutting meat in the kitchen or on the farm. This knife comes highly recommended by me.

Very incisive
5/5

Very tough knife that's great for camping or in the kitchen. It comes with a fake leather sheath, but it gets the job done. Mine hasn't rusted yet, but I wash and dry it as soon as I use it. For storage, you may need to add a drop or two of oil. This blade keeps its edge very well and is very comfortable to hold in the hand.
