Rorence Stainless Steel Whistling kettle: 2.6 Quart with Capsule Bottom & Heat-resistant Glass Lid – Navy Blue

I purchased a new kettle for the price of a used item. A rattling sound came from the box as my husband carried it in. The outer box was immediately opened, and as soon as I opened the product box, I saw a scotch tape seal on one side of the box. When I opened the box, I discovered that the plastic that is supposed to cover the product underneath the kettle was at the bottom of the box, and that the glass lid of the kettle was loose inside. After I pulled out the kettle, I noticed an obvious scratch on it. investigation, it was discovered that the bottom outside the base and the inside of the kettle were stained. In my last step, I examined the product box and found the sticker marking it as refurbished. After paying full price for a new item, I was delivered an obviously used kettle instead! Rethinking returning to the city! The attached pictures show the situation. I have updated Returning the kettle is what I have done. First use of the kettle did not result in a I can't whistle with this one because it appears to be bent or that it doesn't have a good enough seal.

was attracted to the color, the shape, and the design of the kettle, which are the main reasons for my purchase. Although it seems to take longer to heat the water than I'd expect given its design, it nevertheless does. It's worth noting, however, that until the water is hot enough, the kettle "chirps," or "barks," which can be annoying, especially in the morning. Also visible is an unfinished paint job at the lip of the spout and in the main cavity of the kettle. In both of those areas, the edges do not appear to be painted all the way to the edge, but rather cut off. This is why. This is a serviceable item. I would not recommend this kettle given the lack of care, quality of workmanship, and attention to something I essentially am reminded of every time I use it (the faulty paint job).

There were no padding, paper, or anything to protect the teapot during shipment. Although it looked beautiful, it was only shipped in the box it arrived in. As a result of inadequate protection, the lid was not taped to the teapot or covered with paper or bubble wrap and it was lying loose in the box, scratching the blue paint in Returning it was the right move.

The whistle feature played a part in my decision to buy this product. There is a bend in the metal parts of the cover of the spout that prevents the whistle from completely sealing up, thereby letting steam escape. A steam whistle cannot be made if the steam cannot pass through the whistle disk alone. In the future I shall modify the api to make sure it is functioning properly, but that should not be necessary.

Only two months have passed since we used this kettle, but the paint on the kettle looks discolored where the flame from the burner touched. My recommendation would be to use a tea kettle with a shiny enameled finish instead of this matte tea kettle.
