Questions & Answers

Is there anyone out there who owns this pan and still has the original gingerbread cake recipe? I've loved it for the past few Christmases, but I've misplaced mine! ?

In comparison to the village houses, how big are the houses in the duet pan? Is there a difference in size between the duet pan houses and the single pan houses?

The village houses are clearly smaller than the duet pan. One person is served by each village house. The duet house provides generous portions for two people. Gloria E.

When each gingerbread house is finished, what are the measurements?

They're a good size, measuring about 4 1/2 inches wide by 5 inches long by 4 inches high. There's even a recipe included. (Hint: it's delicious.) I fill the pans to about 1/2" of their capacity.

Call me bumbling, but I'm new to this. What's the best way to bake pans with uneven bottoms? like the houses and such? I, too, have a half-oven, can you assist me?

When you turn the pan upside down to fill it, it is level (and quite sturdy). It's 10 3/4 inches long, 6 3/4 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches high.

A wonderful gift that is perfect
5/5

I have a great gingerbread/spice bread recipe that worked out beautifully in this. I didn't use spray; instead, I used real butter, which gave the dish an incredible flavor. I'll tinker with it a little. Perhaps a sprinkling of sugar on a house's butter. I'm sorry, but I'm stumped. I baked one for a neighbor as a gift, and she immediately placed an order for six more. For Thanksgiving, I'm going to make a spiced pumpkin bread. This form has piqued my interest because I enjoy baking. For Christmas, my baking family members will receive a form and my favorite recipe. What a thoughtful present. The loaf is a great size for 4 to 6 people, but if you want to serve more, divide it into two loaves and top with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream for a delicious dessert. This is a very dependable brand that will last forever.

Adorable! I used a boxed gingerbread cake mix for these and made several mini houses for the holidays this year, and they came out perfect every time with a thin coating of Wilton's Cake Release
5/5

The nooks and crannies can be a little difficult to clean; I followed the directions on the inside of the cardboard wrapper (350° for 40 minutes) and they always came out perfect. To get inside small spaces like the chimney, you may want to purchase a small bottle brush or simply grab a toothbrush.

ENDLESSLY ADORABLE TINY COTTAGES Following the purchase of the Gingerbread House, I decided to purchase the Cottages

The "Nordic Ware Gingerbread House Duet Pan" is a small, teeny-tiny cottage that holds only 2 - 3 people. 3/4 cup batter, that is, if you fill it all the way to the top, you should only fill it 3/4 full to avoid overflow. After they were baked, I placed the pan with the cakes on top of a wire rack to cool completely. All of the details from the Bundt Pan were flawlessly transferred to both cakes/cottages. Both Cottage Cakes make an excellent decorating center piece for a large cake or sheet cake with a variety of decorating options. Nordic Ware Bundt Pans make beautiful cakes, and I've been collecting them for quite some time. Thank you very much, D.

Very adorable
4/5

When my grandkids came to visit for the holidays, I made a few of these houses. They each had their own house to decorate, so they were a huge success in that regard. Some of the details were difficult to spot, and getting them out of the mold was a chore. Being patient and cautious, on the other hand, proved to be beneficial. To get the houses to sit flat, I had to cut a large chunk out of the bottom of each one. I'll try a wedding cake "wrap" the next time (I used to make wedding cakes) - It was soaked by you. Wrap it around the pan before putting it in the oven to help the outer edge bake more slowly.

This is an amazing pan
5/5

What a fantastic skillet! I like that it came with a recipe; additionally, if you butter and flour the pan before baking, the cakes will come out nice and easy with all of the textured parts. This is a great size for giving as gifts to friends and family. I dusted powdered sugar on top of the cake to bring out the details.

What a lovely present
5/5

This past Christmas, I made a lot of these small gingerbread houses as gifts. Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Gingerbread Mix was the gingerbread I used, and it turned out beautifully. When they were cool enough to handle, I dusted the tops with powdered sugar to make them look like snow on a rooftop, placed them on a small plate, and handed them out. They were a hit with everyone, and they got a lot of compliments. br>br>I'm considering making something more colorful for Easter, such as little bunny houses perched on green coconut grass beds. It's going to be incredibly adorable! In the summer, some of them could be dressed up as beach cottages. There are numerous options available all year.

Yummy and a big thumbs up! It's a lot easier than gluing cookie walls together with icing
5/5

The recipe for gingerbread on the package is quite tasty! I overfilled the molds, but I simply sliced off the "muffin" tops and ate them happily. br>I oiled and floured the inside before pouring my batter in, and it came out easily. I must have gone a little too far with the oiling/flouting because the top of the house is covered in clumpy yellow oil/flour deposits. But it was my fault for being too harsh. br>I really like the pan, and my daughter and I had a lot of fun decorating her house with it. I can't wait to get my hands on more varieties!.

The cakes turned out to be very cute
5/5

I followed the instructions that came with the cake pan, and they turned out to be absolutely adorable. For a Christmas party, I used them in a red velvet cake. I was worried that a piece of the cake would stick to the pan, but it didn't and the pan was clean.
