Questions & Answers

Is this a brown and sharpe interapid or a brown and sharpe brown and sharpe brown and sharpe brown and sharpe brown and ?

Tesa is the manufacturer of the following brands: Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown, Brown Sharpe, Roch, and Mercer are just a few of the names that come to mind. Hexagon SA, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is Tesa's parent company, with headquarters in the United States. In 2016, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence became the new name for this company. So you're dealing with a large conglomerate, and a lot of names apply, but I'd say this is an Interapid branded indicator made at a Tesa factory that also makes Brown indicators. Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is the owner of the Sharpe brand of indicators.

Is this something that comes from Switzerland? Is there a place where it says that?

Right on the indicator's face, it says Switzerland.

Is it possible for me to get a? Is it possible to get a 030 ball tip for this indicator?

There are no 0s in my possession. 030 tips. However, because the indicator uses a standard thread, you should be able to obtain any size top you require. This one has a 0 on it. 080 has been installed.

I'm looking for a replacement tip, but I'm not sure where to find one. ?

Yes, Tesa's Interapids are the gold standard, with a very low measuring force and a smooth as glass surface
5/5

These are frequently copied, and knockoffs abound. I own a number of Tesa indicators, all of which are of the highest quality. My Interapids are usually the ones I reach for. to put indicators through their paces.

I also use a vintage swivel that mounts to the, similar to the one shown in the photo
5/5

It's quite effective. Extremely sensitive. It's useful in my shop as well as for checking vintage indicators. I gave it five stars because it did not come with any extras. It should have come with at least a swivel dovetail clamp that attaches to the rails and can then be mounted to any 1/4" rod for the price it commands. To keep the shaft on top of the indicator in my mill spindle, I purchased a 4mm collet. I also use a vintage swivel, similar to the one in the photo, which mounts to the two dovetail rails as previously stated. I'd buy it again if the opportunity presented itself. Yes.

It's fantastic! This is an excellent item
5/5

I'm a Quality Inspector with over 12 years of experience working for a large machine tool manufacturer, and I think this indicator is fantastic. In the past, I've worked with a wide range of indicators, including: 001, . 0005, . 100 00005 Mitotuyo and Brown and Sharpe that the company provides, but I've never purchased one for myself. I was able to obtain it for a very low cost, and it is in excellent working condition. If you work in a shop, I strongly advise you to do so.

On the market, there isn't a better indicator
5/5

On the market, there isn't a better indicator. It reminds me of a Swiss timepiece. br>It's pricey, but a less expensive alternative simply won't suffice. br>It repeats itself every time, has a larger range than many other indicators, is easy to turn, and has a nice appearance.

The test indicator is one of the most basic tools for a machinist, and I started out with a cheap import indicator that was terrible
5/5

There is no disputing the fact that this indicator is costly. There is no substitute for good tools if you rely on them to put food on the table. Be wary of knockoffs that appear to be the genuine article.
