Contrary to appearances, a wheel marking gauge that is similar to that of - This Starrett gauge has a square (4-point) scratching tip that has been hardened to mark metals such as aluminum and brass - mild steel and higher There are two additional tips included with the gauge: Which is probably a good thing because, with the exception of the marking tips, Starrett appears to sell (lists in their catalog) every part of the tool as a replacement.
