This depth gauge was purchased because I have a few Milescraft products and was in need of As far as I am concerned, this depth gauge is not bad. One negative review says this tool is untrue, but I have read many positive reviews. Stress measurement is not required to use this tool, therefore, it is not intended to be a very powerful model. The tool is meant to measure distance and depth. There is no better tool for this type of work than this one. There is nothing to complain about the set screw. There is no need to tighten it up like the head bolt on a Chevy 350 does. You just need to tuck it in. There is no doubt that you will receive an accurate limited budget, here are some ways to cut costs A great tool for measuring depths, this is friendly and easy to use. Milescraft depth gauge is used to set the depth of my router bit depth so that I can make signs and to set up the router table fence and height of the bit. This is also useful for setting up the fence on my band saw. I find it to be an excellent.
I like the ease of using this gage. When I make cutting boards, I use it on my router table. The router bit height is set consistently every time with this device regardless of the size of the board! Different boards get different juice grooves and round edges.
This is a handy little tool for adjusting router depth and table saw height. Because of its flat feet, it is a bit stable Just crank the blade until it bumps the ruler, and there you have it! You can set the desired blade height, set it on the saw, and crank the blade until it just bumps the ruler! The depth gauge has also been used to set cut depths on router tables and to verify rabbiting depth. The price is right for the quality of the product.
In terms of accuracy, a digital is far superior to this method for "close" settings. Measurement of the base also indicates that it is prone to distortion. The tip of the blade should also be broader in order to contact them. A blade should be measured after a test cut after it has been sharpened at at least several tips.
A more appropriate price would be about $5 for this product.
In addition, it is of cheap construction, and the controls are difficult to operate. There is some debate about the accuracy of the unit. Despite the fact that the unit will be kept, I will use it very rarely, if ever.
With this device, I do fancy router table work on my wood projects so well that without it I would simply be lost.
This is fantastic!.
