HI-LO WELDING GAGE MEASURES INTERNAL ALIGNMENT OF PIPES AFTER FIT-UP ALIGNMENT AND ELIMINATES RADIOGRAPHIC REJECTS Before and after tacking, this device measures the internal misalignment of the pipe. On one side, measurements are read in standard units, while on the other, they are read in metric units.

Changes from standard to metric are as simple as removing the gauge body, turning the scales over, and replacing it; internal misalignment is measured.

Measures fit-up gap, bevel on end preparation, crown height of welds, fillet weld size, scribed line, socket welds, and can be calibrated to NBS standard.

Both imperial and metric measurements are available.

Is there a case for it?

No, there isn't a case included.

Is there a limit to how far it can go?

The short answer is that you can measure the high/low of thicknesses from 0 to 2 inches (see video), but the long answer is that you can't. The instrument will be played for a total of one more time. Its thickness ranges from 3/4 to 3 inches, allowing it to be inserted into a variety of items. 3/4 of an inch You'll have to "eyeball" the high/low for thicknesses greater than 2". On the backside of the tool, there is also a metric scale.
