Measurements are precise thanks to the bore gage's electronic indicator, which has a 0.01 resolution. 00005"/. 001mm, with a 9-inch depth measurement

The two-point contact system is used to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper; carbide-tipped contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance; and this electronic indicator provides both inch and metric readings.

The self-centering bore gage comes with a 2-inch contact extension holder and is easily adjustable.

Minimum Hold Feature: As the gage is rocked within the part to be measured, it locks and holds the bore size.

A storage case, two batteries, fifteen measuring anvils, four spacers, and an instruction manual are all included in the set.

The tool is of good quality and produces consistent results, with very few instructions

It's not easy to set up, but there's an old video on YouTube about how to do it. The instructions that come with the package are largely ineffective. The tool is of good quality and consistently performs its function. However, I believe that a set of snap gauges would suffice.

Range of 001mm! Purchased to replace a bore gauge system that could measure up to 0. 01mm, but when measuring modern engine bores, the old system was insufficiently precise. br>br>Min/max hold was also added to the mix. It took me a while to figure it out if you're just starting out. For an analog gauge, I couldn't find much help on the internet. In order to calibrate your tool, you'll need to use another method of measurement.

The precision is poor

Because the gauge's exact accuracy isn't listed anywhere, I've attached a photo of the certificate that came with it. As a result, the resolution is pointless in this situation. I'm not sure what the purpose of 0 is. With a listed accuracy of 0, 00005" resolution is good for. 0006" with a repeatability of 0. 001. 0004".

I wasn't happy with it because the calibration and use of the digital part were confusing to me. However, for those who are more familiar with that setup, it could be a useful product.

Someone asked if the digital indicator could be removed and mounted on a stand; it can be removed and is a fairly standard gage, but it lacks a mounting lug on the back. It's simply a cover plate with no frills. You can swap out the plate for one with lugs.
