1) It does what I purchased 1) I used my calipers and the marks for the different measurements are close enough to even handle fine details in the woodworking process 3) It is well made, as the marks are not going to fade with constant It was pointed out by someone else/others that the gauge is too thick for use in dead-end applications For instance, there should be enough room on the markings to bevel the edges for improved readings when measuring the interior diameter of small pipes, but still, you'd be eyeballing since parts of the markings would be missing in such a case. The most common pipe would have a specific inner diameter, so most of us would work with specific inner diameters.
Welding gauge measurements are performed with this high quality tool. It should be used for evaluations and inspections. It does not provide you with a hundredth, however. Therefore, a high level of accuracy should be obtained by using an electronic one.
My band instruments are used to measure the tip opening in saxophone mouthpieces when I'm refacing them.
In addition to being exactly as described, the taper gauge has clear markings and is robust enough for regular My bicycle front derailleur clearance was set by using it to set the gap on new spark plugs and the clearance on new spark plugs. The price is very reasonable.
Taper gauges of the highest quality. Also, they have some nice thickness so you don't have to worry about them bending or stabbing you. As well as the jacket, the pouch is very nice.
Worked a treat!.
It is an excellent tool for working on aircraft. Metric units work better for me because fractions of an inch would be difficult to convert to hundredths of an inch for my puny brain.
For my brother who is a CWI and needs these for work, I picked them up. The reason the money didn't exist before was beyond me, but it was a pleasant surprise that he returned it to me.
