Questions & Answers

Does anyone know if this item can be used to measure guitar strings?

I would say yes, it is incredibly accurate and is

What is the best way to use it to make jewelry?

With it it is possible to measure as small as 0.3 mm and as large as 6 inches or 153 mm. The thickness of an inch is .01 millimeters. A fraction of an inch can be as small as 001 inches.

Why does the battery compartment not open like a regular compartment?

In the right hand corner of the LCD screen, you will find the battery compartment. You will need to turn the caliper upside down in order to access the battery. The screws in the caliper box can be removed simply by using the Phillips head screwdriver included in the box. Once the battery cover is removed, the battery can be accessed. In addition to the caliper, there is an extra battery.

What are the jaws like when they lock into place?

The jaws do not automatically lock, but there is a small knob on the side of the mechanism that allows you to do so.

The greatest caliper ever made The caliper was built very solidly, especially considering its price
5/5

I could not have imagined the quality of this caliper for such a low price! Stainless steel is used for the beam and beam extension and an alloy casting is used for the instrument housing There is no plastic in this. I am very pleased with the fit and finish. With the outside measuring jaws, you can get accurate measurements from the blade edges all the way to the flats. There are no variations. An instrument of this kind is rare in the budget realm One reading will be made between the blades, and another one when the flats are read. It was this unexpected element that surprised me. It's easy to read the LCD readout - it is bright and very easy to read The sun still gleams even in bright sun. You can choose to read a fractional display - this is a great feature. I don't have to try to remember what it is anymore. The width of the 125" is 13". The other advantage of this software is that you are able to switch between inches and millimeters when taking a measurement - the best of both worlds It's handy when you need to "guesstimate". The measurements I have made with my Starrett micrometer correspond perfectly to those I have taken with several different kinds of paper. It can achieve a level of accuracy of 1/2 of a thousandth, good enough for government work. As well as the depth gauge within the beam, the first half inch or so of the beam is also tapered, so you can measure the depth of small gaps or grooves. It was a great job done by the engineers designing this. Besides Mitutoyo and Starrett instruments, I also own a few other items that I very much value for their quality. For the casual user or serious hobbyist, this Rexbeti caliper is a best buy. I'm not sure how this caliper would hold up in a machine shop environment, however. That's a lot of work.

I hope you are all doing well
4/5

The Caliper is an inexpensive tool for all purposes. There is no doubt that this is a very high-quality The Rexbeti is a step or two better in quality than the very inexpensive brands, at least subjectively. I've used similar brands that were less expensive and also more expensive. There is a slight bit of backlash when it comes to zeroing, and the set screw seems to always be on the verge of loosing. It isn't quite as accurate as calipers at the higher end. Nevertheless, calipers of higher grade cost less than a tenth of the price. This version of Rexbeti seems to provide greater emphasis on polish, and it certainly is Its keyboard and display, along with the pushbuttons, make it a more high quality (and repeatable) tablet than the actual.

This is an excellent calliper
5/5

When you shop on their website, you will see all kinds of ratings. Despite the higher rating and the lower price, I decided to go with this one. Having used it for a week or so now, I highly recommend it. My use of the program has been positive (I work as a violin maker) and it has not caused It's been a while since I used the inside measurement or thickness, and I have not verified their accuracy yet, but I will update my rating if I discover any issues.

It is awful to feel this way
3/5

Since the way I live my life, and I think many other people do as well, I rarely use For many months, I do not have to think about calipers at all. A few hours later, I needed them for three different reasons at the same time. Within the next two weeks, I may need calipers five times, and then not need them again until next spring. I suspect that this is a common scenario, as I mentioned earlier. For those of us who aren't using calipers in our daily lives or who don't rely on them in our jobs, precision is usually not needed. There are quite a few of us who buy those $10 digital calipers and make do with them. Although these things are nominally off, they drain batteries even when they are idle. This is something I have observed on YouTube and have replicated at home. I have no idea why it is this way. A timeout condition is not enough to turn off the device, because it does not actually shut down and draws nearly the same current either way. There are different ways that we cope with stress. In my case, I removed the battery after every use, because I never know when I will need it next. But if the occasion arises, I will want the battery to still function. I have to deal with the same hassle each time I use them Tool should be removed from the case, the battery installed, and the tool used to complete task. The battery should be removed, and the tool stowed The three of them are especially annoyed by this. I occasionally use a set of days a week and it really irritates me when I forget to put them away 15 minutes later. I thought to myself on one such occasion, "how nice it would be to just have a set of calipers at hand that I can use whenever I need them. ". My reason for shopping was because of this. There are numerous reasons why I picked to type this model because it has a CR2032 cell, which is significantly beefier and more common than the cheapo's little button cell. By the fact that the battery cover is screwed to the device, I was reassured that it would be rare to have to change the battery, and that it would involve yet another tool as well. My prediction was that it would take longer to kill the batteries, at least if it drains them at the same rate as the cheapo ones. And to top it all off, I assumed I would have better I merely wasn't clear on the concept of that first point. I was very wrong on the latter point.

Yes, you'll see a lot of shiny surfaces if you look at them regularly. The rest of the world, however, is On the backside of the lower jaw it appears that a bastard file was used. The interior channel behind the display also appears to have been fabricated with a bastard file. There is absolutely no way to call such fit and finish associated with the allegedly higher quality housing as being "fit and finish. ". There is so much offset in the housing for the screw adjustment holes that I don't think you could get a screwdriver in there to correct them should the screws ever fail. It is my expectation that they will comply with my request. I found it hard to see any major differences between the $10 cheapo and what I had hoped would be a substantial upgrade when I started comparing them. It took me a while to file off the rough edges, clean out the gunk and grit, and give it a good coat of lube before I felt as if I was handling something of The sensation is not real, I believe it is mostly caused by the heft of the metal (. Aside from that, in some respects, I found that my cheesy old $10 tools were actually better finished than my fancy $1000 ones. This alleged precision tool is even worse when it comes to the carrying case, which grips the tool in hard molded plastic, while the cheapos are placed in soft foam and covered with it. In any event, this case is not going to be very lengthy - to put it simply. It's already falling loose, hanging from a thin plastic that's so transparent that it looks like it's bouncing. In a few days, they will be out of here. This principle involves the fact that if I spend $23 more money on my product, I expect $23 more love in exchange. But this tool wasn't manufactured or machined in the conventional sense it was handcrafted it was not a machined product. Until it was abused, it did not exist. The work camp most likely is in a prison. In fact, they neglected to send a screwdriver, too. Although this may not be considered a loss based on what I've read in other reviews, I didn't receive even the broadest sense of what I paid for. Neither a warranty nor a guarantee are listed on the site. There's no mention of it in the owner's manual, and you can return it if you want within What do I know. . . It might even come with its own portable charger This warranty card is currently nestled under someone's desk, next to my screwdriver in the dust bunnies. It is my fault that I am feeling the fool right now, so please excuse me for going on like this. I shouldn't feel duped in the first place, and that in itself is upsetting. My spending on the good was higher than my spending on the bad My faith is that I am meant to receive more. "More". Rather than get gussied up, I was suited up The same as before.

Instead of publishing and defending my electrical findings, I must approach the issue indirectly and indirectly. My test equipment cannot provide me with an accurate reading down to the uA level, so I must take this approach obliquely. It's not the size of the battery that matters, it's the fact that this thing is so power hungry in an off state that it's not helpful in the case I My only purchase was a pair of shoes. Neither will I be able to use them since I refuse to use a screwdriver every time I need calipers, nor will I be able to sell them because of my There is almost no difference between this and the tool that you get from (National Cheapo Tool Chain) for $10-$15 The price is $15, but you've got to buy a pot The consumer housing is made out of metal and is buffed more than the housing- Parts facing away from the camera. It makes the same tooth as long as it's not disassembled, filed, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled I hear jangling and scratching when it is opened and closed. You can't see the bits you shouldn't see since they were polished 5-fold. My battery is bigger now and I can measure in inches - I have a bigger battery now A fraction. Still, this does not make up for the poor quality in general. The idiot in me is a complete Be like me and don't make the same mistakes I did. Rather than like this other reviewer who was disappointed with this product and went looking for one which really shuts off when turned off, be like this other reviewer You may continue*.

This is a great The need for one of these has been there for a long time, and I finally broke down and bought It is important to use digital calipers when measuring and converting small units correctly
5/5

It has been my pleasure to borrow one from a friend on several occasions, and I have used one extensively to know its value and how it operates. I did not need directions since the product works well right out of the box. It comes with directions, but they are not necessary because the product is so intuitive. The unit was already programmed in imperial units, but can be switched over to metric any time with a single button press. A great feature of this application is you can reset the zero point at any time. In this way, if you have to measure something that cannot be seen from both sides, then you can use this application. The tool does exactly what it says it will do High-quality, made in the USA The quality of the measuring tool feels sturdy and heavy in my hand and it locks into position well for accurate measurements.

Thus far, it has been a great tool
5/5

It's just that I got it this morning. I'm pleased with it so far. It has a nice heft, a great fit and finish, slick movement, and seems robust. It matched my transfer punches and machinist's circle gauge very well, and it was very accurate and precise. It is necessary for me to have multiple read out formats I reduce the fraction read out to the lowest denominator (i. e. One eighth of one quarter. One and one-fourteen One can read only in a 1/128th scale). There is not a lot to say about the plastic case, but it is adequate. I don't like the screwdriver because it is cheap and doesn't fit in the case very well, resulting in it getting In the future, I will update you on how I use it.
