OK, I work for a high-end millwork business, and a lot of times our customers ask for mock-ups The architects are doing well. It is always provided in mock-up form The dimensions are accurate to the 64th inch in up drawings. The mock-up is being calibrated, so I know it's being calibrated There's always a difference in readings when calibrating stock with all of the calipers I have used. We want it right, even if it's a piece of plastic we know is the right one. The reviews on this caliper convinced me to buy it when I searched for a good caliper. It took me a couple minutes to realize how heavy this caliper was as soon as I took it out of the box. I found it surprisingly heavy and solid in my hand. I knew the quality was top-notch as soon as I picked it up. I put the device to the test on cardboard that had been packed with the spare battery. Yes, a spare battery was provided with this unit. That was a thoughtful and unexpected touch. There was no difference in the calibration between every part of the edge. This is "028". As a user of many different calipers, I'm confident that this is by far the best I have ever encountered. Five more will be purchased so that everyone in my shop has one and when they arrive I will throw away all the others that are lying around. The half that still worked ceased to work. For anyone in whom precision in what they are producing is paramount, this is an excellent purchase.

This particular caliper did not have a display, so I bought it because it appeared from pictures that it could be used for simple, non-detailed applications To be able to perform precise measurements (in case the battery or chip fails). As far as I'm aware, the device has the capability to measure with simple calculations without a Rather than a printed metallic sticker, this ruler measures with a printed metallic sticker, which won't be ideal but will suffice for the duration of its life. As with the fine adjustment wheel, it is made of stainless steel and it seems to be well made (minor play and slippage, but it is useable). I was aware when buying it that the display readout would be small, and it does not read fractions, but I am still very satisfied with it. Once I have used it for some time, I will post an update. It is only the overall fit & overall design that I have found to be bothersome so far The finish line It is somewhat difficult to tell if the tips are coming to a precise point, there are some burrs on the machining, and the conversion sticker is a bit off angle, so extra had to be trimmed (not much of an issue). Also, I wish the case had an extra layer of foam to prevent the caliper from banging around. I can fix this myself, but only if I know how.

Since I don't make a living from it, I don't need it. After seeing the price tag was very reasonable and the reviews were very positive, so I picked this up. With this one, I can now measure a lot more things than I did before I got one. I love the ease of use and the ease of reading it provides.

My pleasant surprise at the quality of this tool is that it is very well I have not yet discovered any problems with it, and it has been accurate so far. This device comes with a case made out of hard plastic that effectively protects the caliper when stored. When fine tuning a measurement, I particularly appreciate the thumbwheel as it works really well.
This device even has an extra battery, which is very thoughtful of the manufacturer.
