One of the most valuable features of the tool is the capability to zero it to a specific point. Having things level, plumb, and square is my obsession, so I carry this around a fair bit and find it useful for so many other purposes as well. We find that the internal usb rechargeable battery is far better than using batteries that have to be changed often. Having a micro USB cable and a charging port is all you need. I had a problem with the first one I received. During charging, it didn't make any noise to indicate full charge, and it didn't work once it had completed charging. When I contacted customer service, their message said to leave a phone number and they would get in touch with me. It took just a few minutes before they called. The tech that I spoke with explained the issues to me. In response to my question, he said he was not sure how the led indicator should work but that he would research the matter and get back to me. I was contacted back in about 10 minutes and he told me it appeared to be a faulty unit and that I should return it through do a lot of shopping on Amazon, but I've never returned anything, so I was unfamiliar with the process. It was a very quick and easy process and I now have a new unit in the mail. At this point, I am very satisfied with their customer service.
