Questions & Answers

Does it have an automatic shutoff feature? Will it stay on for a long time?

The power is automatically shut off after a certain amount of time. When the screen is turned off for five minutes, it turns off automatically As long as you do not move the jaws, you have 7 minutes. I appreciate your help

Could 32nds or 16ths be used instead of fractions, if this is the smallest fraction? Would you please let me know if you could provide any assistance.?

As a result, 4/128" will display as 1/32, as the caliper will automatically convert to the smallest fraction. However, it does not allow one to reduce the precision so that 1/64 are rounded off.

Can you tell me how long your battery lasts when it is Many digital calipers drain battery power even when they are turned off in order to maintain storage of zero values. ?

When the "zero" switch is on, it is off and only zeroed after it has been This is the fourth time I own it and the battery is still the original one.

In order to calculate fat index, I'd like to use it. But the edges of this caliper are sharp which makes it dangerous to use. an item like this that we can use on our ?

We ask that you do not measure your body fat with this caliper. The caliper used to measure body fat is not the best one. If you are looking for a body fat caliper made of plastic, please try searching. It is a pleasure to be of assistance.

Purchase them with no hesitation at all! It has been 8 working days since I started using them. It would be so absurd if we reset to zero. There are times when the measurement display does not work even when moving the jaws slowly for the first 2 inches, then the indicated measurement jumps to over 21 It is often found that the measured reading varies widely. Initially, it looks like a normal reading, but then it just keeps going up. Even when it does work, the measurement is so far off that these calipers are Here is an image of what you should be looking at. That looks like 47 to me. Would you consider 662 inches to be long? My understanding was that they maxed out at 12 inches. This is the worst junk you can imagine. As a point of clarification, the battery was just bought and installed, so it is not a fresh one. You don't need to buy this junk, and you should buy Mitutoyo instead. Sure, they are more expensive, but when you need your calipers to work, Mitutoyo will always perform. That's not the case with these. The value of them is zero if you can't trust them, which I can't. It's possible to exchange those if the seller contacts me by Sept. 8. I have until September 8 to return these. It would be great to have fractions work properly, and I would appreciate it if these were available. The following was added to the update on I emailed the company this afternoon about an exchange for the calipers which are broken. It took only minutes for a reply to come through, and they are sending me a new As long as the new set of calipers delivers the same performance, then they will be rated a 5 Star set of calipers. As for now, they are a 3 Star set of calipers for excellent and fast customer support. Keep an eye out for more information! I am updating this on October 1st In response to a phone call I had with Vick at Clockwise Tools on Friday, September 28 (late in the evening), I received a replacement caliper in the mail just before noon What great service! And it came with a Calibration Certificate, which is a nice addition. did not have the time to test it in real life, but I will check it tomorrow against the shop's calibrated gauge blocks. It may have been just me, but I felt much more comfortable using the second set of calipers. In a week or so, I will update you on its progress. The following is the October 14th update After I checked their accuracy on the shop's gauge blocks, I've used these calipers 100% of the time for the past two weeks. As far as calibration is concerned, these are perfect. Their performance after two weeks has been flawless. It went smoothly this time around there were no measurements jumps, runaway measurements, or any other issues I noticed My thanks go to Vick at Clockwise for his help and generosity in providing a new calibration set for me. Well worth the money since these are accurate, easy to use (I like the fractional readout), and easy to use. Clockwise Tolls offers these at no extra cost and is willing to replace any that you may receive. If you happen to get a bad set as I did, I'm sure Vick It's a great set of calipers at a great price.

The third one failed, the second one replaced it perfectly, the first one was less The Editing Recommendations for 2020 are as follows During the month of June, I ordered a second new set, not a replacement, and these are now giving me error readings that vary by +/- 10 %

The result of zeroing is 005" If I were you I would clean it, then refinish it You can move the dice 2" and then back down to zero, and you can get anywhere between - and I am contacting you at There are different 0055's and sometimes zero can be used instead of the desired 0055. The case is clean, with no dents or scratches, and it hasn't been dropped. I tried everything to get them reading correctly but I had no luck, and these ones cannot This is a great disappointment and must be thrown out. A third thing that I don't like about these is you have to zero it every time you turn Every time I turn it on I have to fiddle with the zero button because it shuts off on its own. You will have your zero there if the jaw is open and the machine is turned on. The issue with the earphones is they tire you out if you use them too often. It is nice to have such a large display. I spoke with Amazon, and they told me the warranty lasts just We're not getting any joy! Two of the three that I have tried The following is the 2019 version of this edit It measures very well and I am very pleased with the numbers that it gives me. I have received my second (replacement) caliper already. I received the second one almost immediately after the first one was giving me misreadings out of the box. The replacement procedure was painless and the second one was delivered almost immediately. Hopefully I'll be able to update the photos of the new caliper soon. My thought is that you can test these out through Amazon, which I think is a safe and worth while way to do it. With my Starrett Webber gage blocks, I was able to get accurate measurement both near the tip of the jaw and towards the back of it. It's good to be able to repeat something. There is no caliper on the market that has a very large readout like this. It's also very easy to read, so it becomes addictive. Although the caliper is a little stiff, that may change with some usage, but I don't mind it at all. I will review the 1st caliper as follows The first caliper I received was inaccurate, quite a bit off for a caliper. I hope this is an isolated case. After measuring it as soon as it arrived, it resulted in measurements that were up to The number "003". Clockwise has been contacted, and I will update this review as soon as possible.

I measured the accuracy of the caliper using several different certified gage blocks from Starrett Webber AA. It may only be a new $20 caliper, but this new one is way off, especially its repeatability (all over the place) from others I have used and purchased at that price. Look at the pics and see how far the front and rear jaws are apart. From front to back, there is an error of about 2 cm and some measurements are off by about 3 cm This is "003" instead of what it's supposed Most of the time, the back was A value of 0. 0015 off or more following zero It is not a big deal to be able to type. The cheap $20 digital calipers I own have kept their accuracy to +/- 1/16". I reserve my Tesa and Mitutoyo calipers for more careful work, but I have other inexpensive digital calipers that have stayed accurate to +/- 1/64" 0 and 5" After extensive use, measure from front to back as follows 0010" (front to back).

I just can't stand it! I've never owned a caliper where the battery could be saved by enabling it to be switched off

toothpick to a battery so I could easily remove it when I put the that cost much more than the Clockwise. While the battery would not shut off, removing the tiny screws required a lot of effort. It was also difficult to read the display. (While measuring a fixed object, I may have to read the display from off to one side in low )Instead of running clockwise, the battery drains 7 microamps instead of 27 so a battery could last close to four In the photo above, the display is even more legible than my Neiko. Additionally, Clockwise provided a calibration report that showed that the error did not exceed There was an error of 0. 1mm in any of the It wouldn't be uncommon for me to accidentally hit the Neiko button. It is less likely for this to happen since the Clockwise is designed differently.
