As a novice, I need to practice so I don't come across as a moron in the operating room. I'm glad I purchased this set! Getting one of these to practice on is a must-have for any medical student. I've only done simple interrupted stitches so far, but I'm excited to expand my skills with this kit and learn new stitches.
This is a fantastic idea, and it's a must-have. I can't believe these aren't used in elementary schools. I bought this as a present for my younger sister, who is interested in medicine. This teaches a crucial skill and allows you to practice it several times. Others have complained about it falling apart, but this is an educational tool, not something that should be repeated 200 times. I must have practiced with my sister about ten times before we became proficient. I recommend that anyone who wants their children or anyone else who is even remotely interested in saving your life in an emergency get this for them. Medical students, don't be so harsh on each other. Isn't it true that you get paid a lot of money? In terms of the actual product, It's still in excellent condition and comes with all of the tools you'll need, as well as INSTRUCTIONS and a very nice carrying case. Thank you so much for assisting us in mastering this incredible skill!.
This was a present for a medical student who was about to start his surgical rotation. It's an excellent kit. It was difficult to get into the e-mail system. book. I needed to convert it to a word document, and I noticed a few typos (nothing major!). Suturing is a difficult task, and if a video was included with the e-book, it would be even more difficult. This is a book that would be beneficial. However, YouTube is always a viable option. All in all, the gear is fantastic, and it's an excellent starter kit! I'd suggest it.
It's difficult to comprehend, and it's simply not worth it. It's also worth noting that the ebook isn't actually "free. " I paid for the kit, and their "free ebook" is nothing more than a cheap marketing ploy. Suture tutorials are much easier to find on YouTube. The pad works well with superficial knots, such as a standard surgeon's knot. Other knots, such as the buried knot, do not work as well and will tear the pad. (Both are shown in the photo). Aside from that, the pad isn't bad. It's long-lasting enough to write down fundamental skills and work on honing them. The pad does not have a bad odor, and in fact, it is somewhat pleasant. minty? In a rubber-banded situation, y way. br>br>Ample thread is included in the kit. I don't think I'll run out of things to do. Both the hemostat and the needle driver are fantastic. A scalpel and blades are included, but I'm not sure why. Reusable cuts are already present on the pad. I'm not sure why I'd want to do it again. When it comes to this practice kit, it serves no purpose at all - It was most likely intended to be a suture kit. This kit, however, is only for practice and education, according to the manufacturer. They probably don't want to risk a lawsuit if their equipment is tampered with. In any case, I'm pretty sure I can tie surgical knots now. Beginners will love it. br>br>.
After placing the order, the product arrived very quickly. H Veterinary Club as a possible option for their children who are members of the club.
The suture is fine, but the needle driver isn't up to par. For my son, who aspires to be a surgeon, I purchased a higher-quality copy separately. In a matter of days, he's improved his suturing skills faster than most of my residents have improved in weeks. He practiced his ties and sutures after watching videos. The pad is adequate, but nothing beats putting your skills to the test on real people.
The student is a NP. I wanted to practice on something other than chicken, so I ordered the kit. This is a fantastic kit with a lot of useful items in it. I really like the suture pad, even though it's a little smaller than I expected. Suturing guide ebook was essentially recommendations sent via email newsletter, which was not at all what I had hoped for, but that wasn't why I purchased the kit in the first place. Overall, I'm quite happy!.
The kit included a lot of materials and was less expensive than similar kits. I like that it has a lot of "accessories"/tools that you wouldn't find in a bare-bones kit but are still very useful (forceps, hemostats, scalpel and multiple blades, two different suture thread gauges). The scissors were a little sticky and didn't open or close smoothly, but the rest of the tools worked fine, and it wasn't a big deal because the scissors are only used to trim the sutures after they've been knotted.
