If you want the extra pads, get the version with them

Except for the fact that a single pad was too small to fill the holder, and I was afraid it would stick to the iron and be pulled out while in use, I liked everything about this for the purpose. Fortunately, I purchased the version with the extra copper pads, and two of them were sufficient to fill the holder. I anticipate that the pads will not need to be replaced for a long time. I'm also going to take another person's advice and put 10-footers on the ground. 15 pennies in the bottom for added weight to prevent it from sliding around while in use. You could also use large steel washers, but pennies are more convenient.
