Yes, you are correct. It's what I use to light the pellets in my smoker's pellet tube. Within a 10-minute period, it becomes unbearably hot. There are only 20 seconds remaining!

The item has been misrepresented and is misleading. If you're looking for a 2000 watt heat gun, this isn't it. You pay for a 2000 watt but only get 1500 watts in return. When I emailed the seller to inform them of my purchase, they responded that this was a 2000 Watt heat gun with different packaging for the US market vs. the European market. Packages for the European market It was attempted to persuade me that the gun was manufactured between 1800 and 1900. 2000 watts of power. The gun's specifications clearly state 1500 watts. I don't care if it's European or American, the wattage has no effect on the gun; temperatures, on the other hand, are an entirely different story. Purchases should be avoided!.
Except for the fact that the listing claims it's a 2000w gun, you get everything as shown. According to the box label, this is a 750w/1500w hot air gun. It was a bit of a letdown because what I thought I was getting wasn't what I expected. Even though it comes sealed and with all parts, it still works. It's possible that there'll be a comeback.
I would suggest getting one that is a little better.
This heat gun was purchased to restore the black color to some plastic trim on my vehicle that had been turned gray by a chemical used to remove paint splatter from road work. It was an excellent solution. Some guns were criticized for not being hot enough, but this one was.
This barely used heat gun melted all of the plastic on the outside just outside the warranty period; get a new heat gun. At first, it appeared to be nice and solid, but then it went wrong this morning. Now it's time for the heat gun to come to an end. I went to use it tonight, and the fan motor began to smoke, so I placed it in the wood stove, where it could catch fire. This is a heat gun that should not be purchased. It's a waste of time.
While replacing a vent in a camper, I used the heat gun to remove old sealant. There are two heat settings; I only used the low setting to complete the task! Because it gets quite hot, you must be careful where you place it and follow the instructions to the letter.
Every few weeks, I put it to work for a couple of hours. It will suffice for the task. br>br>It's affordable and functional enough to be considered a good deal.
I bought it for an epoxy job, but my regular blow dryer had more power. What a letdown!.
