I would suggest not using it for drying your hair or any other part of your body, as it is much less noisy.
The temperature setting for two of the sensors is unknown. My tractor's cables and the freezing water pipes on my pipes are quickly thawed out using this device. I really like it.
In my second case, I had a lot of issues with the first one, and it ended up going out after 2 minutes. The period covered by this report is five I remember that it did not smoke much the first time I had one, and it lasted 37 months.
It carries a 1-year warranty, but Porter-Cable carries a 2-year warranty as well It was announced that Cable has updated their warranty policy and most of their products are under warranty for a period of three years and free service for worn parts for a period of The heat gun may be included in this extended warranty, but I'm not sure. My apologies for not being able to offer more details.

You can do it yourself or hire a pro. Porter Cable Heat Gun PC1500HG is a very good heat gun at an excellent price. I was originally considering one of the 2 DeWalt models, but read many mixed reviews on them, plus the cheaper DeWalt was twice the price of the This was used to dry drywall mud and touch up paint, as well as heat shrink tubing from time to time. It appeared to be a good match, because it cost $30, much less than the $80 we paid for a similar item.
I did turn my computer's speed up from low to high the first time I used it. Afterward, I gradually brought the temperature dial up to max over the next several minutes and let it run for as long as possible at high/max. It's best to do this outside since you can smell the fumes of plastic and paint when they're heated up. I turned down the temperature dial and let it cool for a minute after running the oven for the first time. It is similar to when you get a new oven and use it for the first time. Use it in a non-extreme environment if you are going to use it indoors To get most of the new break-ins in the vented area, I would do this several times A smell comes out of an infected area. Furthermore, I think it would last longer if you turned it down to a low temperature and let it cool before turning it off after every use at a high temperature. This way you'd be able to turn on the fan, adjust the temperature, and then turn on the heat as necessary when it was needed. A temperature dial would allow you to easily adjust the temperature without always turning it up or down. Despite its low profile, this dial is not as easy to turn as it might seem. Ideally, I would like it to have a better grip. When I get a chance, when I have some rubber handling dip for tools on my shelf, I may coat it with it. My favorite aspects are the ergonomics and the in-depth information This is how the hand feels. You can use it for long periods of time without experiencing fatigue, as it is quieter than most hair dryers. Additionally, it does not have nearly as much airflow. It would be similar to a low speed setting on most hair dryers if the Hi speed setting on this was available. It would probably be necessary to keep the air hot so I think it is a good thing. This should not be used to dry hair, as it can burn your hands if held too close to the air flow. One inch from the nozzle, it is supposed to output between 110 F and 1100 F. In addition to the cord's thick, yet flexible, and high quality features, I appreciate its thickness. feels solid and has a nice rubbery A shiny hard plastic coating is not present here. This cord is probably made of silicone coated with heat resistance, or it might not be. The fact that I have to pay $15 for a good saw cord is a nice touch. I would hate to spend $30 just for garbage. In the coming months, I intend to purchase a few nozzle attachments. If I could heat shrink without having to wrap it around all sides of the tubing, that would be great. I know the U-shape tubing lets me do that already. The heat shrink attachment will make it easy for you to In situations where you cannot get to all sides of the tubing, such as when applying heat shrink to wires in a compartment or box, that is a must. It is more than sufficient for the polyolefin tubing that I usually use since it activates at 194 F. Mud and paint adhere well to this substance, so it speeds the drying process considerably. Use a low temperature setting to avoid having water overflow into the patch. Keep in mind that thick patches will have a lot of water throughout the depth. Moisture from the middle, which dries out first, will cause the top to become wet again as it dries. Applying thin layers and letting each layer dry is the best way to build the effect. There seems to be a faster way to do this. Whether you apply paint over a dry surface or a wet interior of a mud patch, you will likely find cracked or peeling paint the next day since the moisture in the mud has evaporated. Following this, you will need to re-sand, re-mud and refinish Put paint on! It is a wonderful heat gun, at any rate. Thank you very much for purchasing it for me. During the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced. The hope is that it will last much longer. It was only $30, though, so I guess I can't complain too much even if it doesn't last too long. This is a great item to have in your tool set, whether you are a pro or a DIYer. The book gets a five-star rating from me.
In truth, I thought the air output would be a bit higher, not quite like a hair dryer or anything, but just more power. There is a relatively soft air output, but the temperature dial is at least very effective. It seems to adjust the temperature instantly as you turn the dial, which is ideal if you want to maintain a particular, but consistent, level of heat. There is no need to pull the heat gun away from the product to wait for the temperature to adjust and catch up. You simply dial up or down. In addition to the airspeed having only two settings, low and lower, I have a real problem with the slider itself. There are no tactile signals to tell you when it's the right setting. In most cases, you must slide the switch back down gradually until it catches and turns on the heat gun. If you try to slide the switch up to the first spot (lower), the switch will not stop where it should, and then you must wiggle it back up until it works. As long as you go directly to the top slide of the switch (low), there are no problems it is just that the first stopping point is not catching correctly.
Due to the death of my trusty craft mini heat gun, I needed something that would meet all my Review and comment sites are always my first port of call and I never buy anything outright. In contrast to my mini heat gun (around 300W), the heat guns on Amazon have low or high settings, neither of which appear to be quite right. The temperature dial should be set to the lowest setting with the temperature dial all the way to the minus side so that it is warm and is best used for giving thin paint layers an extra boost. When the temperature dial is halfway up, I can heat plastic to the point where it is easily bendable by using low heat. Not even close to the highest heat setting have I gone so far. By the halfway point, it gets too hot to touch (I can't run my hands over it). A very versatile heat gun, especially for the price. The gun is extremely rugged and can stand up to a lot of use. Your hands feel substantial when holding it. In the case of a lady like me, it is almost a little too big. When I hold it for more than a few minutes, my arms start to tire. Although this feature is not as notable as some of the other features, I find it still worthwhile. Besides being very quiet, it's also very clean. Compared to my craft heat gun, this one is not distracting to me (I am sensitive to sounds such as these). As a customer of Wagner / Milwaukee, I'm happy with the accessories. I haven't removed the step down nozzle since I received This product has been on my desk for almost a week now and I've used it every single day. It's been a while since I've been so happy with a purchase. My craft heat gun has been in regular use for more than 7 years, and based on the build, I'd expect this to last the same amount of time. Crafts are made easy with this material.
While scraping, you need to be slow and careful. But, the results are outstanding. That is a much better method than.
