I'm a small-faced man, so it fits perfectly; I do have a minor issue with my glasses, but that's something I can work around. Any respirator will most likely have the same issue. br>Martell is a character in the novel Martell by William Shakespeare.
It's a P100, and Beijing, I believe, has PM2 pollution. It'll be useful because it's a 5 star rating. All you have to do now is make sure you're wearing it properly to avoid leaking.
I purchased the filter because I was working on a mold remediation project, and mold spores are extremely small particles. I'm not an allergist, but I believe allergens and mold spores have similar particle sizes. When I was doing the remediation, the filter was very helpful.
Filters of the same size are used by both models that appear to be identical. The only difference is whether or not they contain carbon to combat noxious odors.

With a lot of dust and debris in the air, I spent two weekends in the attic replacing insulation while wearing this. My lungs and nose remained clean despite the clogged filter. Despite the fact that I suffer from asthma, I had no problems breathing while working on the project.
I'm an ICU nurse, and my unit has recently become covid again. This mask is one of my favorites. It's fairly simple to inhale, very smooth and comfortable, and it gets the job done. Through it, I'm unable to detect any odors. The straps are incredibly gentle on the skin. I normally wear an XS N95 mask, but since my hospital has been without them for over a year, I've been wearing duck bills. Well, I overcame that and bought this bad boy, which I absolutely adore for the conditions I work in!.
This is the most comfortable mask I've ever worn. I had given up on finding ANY mask that was built for a 5'2" human after starting construction in my teens, drywall and paint in my twenties, and cars and motorcycles in my thirties. Everything that had a gap at the chin, cheeks, or top dug a vengeance into my three-times-broken nose. br>I've tried everything from soft velcro wraps with side valves to construction disposables with a front valve, and nothing has provided me with coverage that doesn't gap when I talk or become unbearable in hot weather. I just got by, but now that the air quality is deteriorating and wildfires are raging, I had to take another look. I'm glad I did. br>The edging on this mask wraps around to the inside to create a seal, and it can bend a little across the middle to better fit anyone's face. br>It has a low profile compared to other higher rated paint masks I've used in the past, and I'm going to try and fit it under a full face helmet next so I don't have to breathe through my mouth while rolling through traffic! It's already a perfect match for my half lid. br>Thank you for finally rescuing my lungs from the rigors of my job and rides! br>My only complaint is that the straps don't have a back clip to keep them in place, but I'm going to even them out and lightly stitch them down so I don't have to tuck them in every time.
I've recently been diagnosed with allergy asthma, so I have no tolerance for breathing pure air, but my main form of exercise and entertainment is maintaining my yards and property in this dry SW Arizona desert. I tried paper masks from the local Ace, but they don't fit, leak, and interfere with my glasses. It was only marginally better than nothing, and that wasn't good enough because it made me sick. br>br>I went shopping on Amazon and came across this product with good reviews, so I ordered it along with replacement filters. I agree that the filters appear to be expensive, but upon closer inspection, they are not. For a perfect seal, Acordian filter paper is embedded in soft rubber. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but I've already spent about 25 minutes on them. I've been breathing fairly easily for the past 30 hours. When they're plugged in, there won't be any doubt. The mask is made of soft rubber and has an inward fold that fits snugly and tightens even more as you inhale. One-way valves are used for both inhalation and exhalation. Everything was carried out in a professional manner. With the possible exception of the replacement filters, by the time your face starts to warm up from contact with the rubber, it's time to rehydrate, so I never had to stop due to discomfort. br>br>This is either my first or second 5 star rating because I like to be objective and not go gushing just because it arrived on time. Not only is this a very good product, but it's also a better value. Perhaps they'll market it similarly to ink jet printers. The printer will be sold at cost plus, and the cartridges will be hosed.
I ordered three different types of masks: 3m, Gerson (which is a 3m knockoff), and GVS. I wanted to go with the 3m because it's the most well-known brand, and you can put different types of filters in it, allowing you to use it for other jobs, but I didn't like the head strap because it has these cheap plastic tabs, and the face mask was a little bigger than the gvs, and I couldn't wear glasses with it. The Gerson is almost identical to the 3m in terms of design, strap, and everything else. The GVS was a perfect fit; I love the strap; it's so comfortable, doesn't block my safety glasses, and creates a perfect seal even with my beard; I chose the S/M size because it's just right. I took out the filters, covered the holes with plastic, breathed in, and was completely sealed. I then covered the exhaust and breathed out completely sealed. GVS comes out on top. Like I said, I really wanted 3m because of the filter versatility, but I haul the same material every day, concrete powder, and unless I change companies, this is the only filter I need, so I just went with GVS. Besides, no one in those plants wears masks, and I just look a lot less crazy with this GVS mask on my face than I do with those two big pink pancake filters on my face. I also like the fact that I could probably blow the dust off these filters and reuse them because I have a pressurized air hose on my truck. This is probably not a good idea, but if the insides are still white and clean, why not? When the time comes, I'll see what I can do.
I purchased this respirator because I have a beard and am aware that many manufacturers will not certify that their products will seal properly when used with facial hair. This is one of them. (I have a fitness background. ) I've spent a lot of time testing masks and respirators. As a result, it's a must-have for me, as well as anyone with facial hair who requires respiratory protection. br>br>At this time of coronavirus pandemic, it's also a very cost-effective alternative to disposable N-type antibiotics. A total of 95 respirator masks were used in this project. This isn't a cheap unit, and the filters aren't cheap either, but when you compare them to the cost of the "cheap" masks, and consider that these filters are rated to last at least 40 hours or 30 days (in my experience, they last much longer).
