It's helpful to know what kind of packaging you prefer so that the community can shop for your birthday present accordingly.
Sure. The one you're referring to was purchased by me. It's what I use to paint wood, cars, and other projects, among other things. You should get the prefilter (3M 5P71PB1 6000 Series Particulate Filter) and the organic vapor cartridge (3M 6001 Organic Vapor cartridge), which you can find by searching for them. The pre-requisites are also required. 3MTM filter retainer 501 is a retainer for filters. These three are an excellent combination for solvent-based paints and other similar products; I hope this helps, John Cascante.
These masks' filters are occasionally available separately. Depending on the mask's filtering objective, there are a variety of filter options.
True, the 7500 series can be set to drop down in price. The latch system on the 6500Ql does not need to be adjusted every time it is dropped from your face, making it much more user-friendly.
Selected User Reviews For 3M Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6502QL, Gases, Vapors, Dust, Medium
The masks from 3M are fantastic. It's worth noting that the 6500 and 7500 series both come in three sizes: Small (6501, 7501), medium (6502, 7502), and large (6503, 7503) are the three sizes available. The 7500 series has softer silicone, making it more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time, but it lacks the quick release drop-in feature. You'll have to decide what's more important to your use case when it comes to the 6500 series' down feature. If you'll be wearing it for a long time or just want maximum comfort, go with the 7500, but if you'll be dropping it down as a temporary relief rather than putting it on and off all the time, the 6500 might be a better choice. It's not that the 6500 isn't comfortable to wear; in fact, it's far more comfortable than other brands I've tried. br>br>Another great feature of both is that you can take them apart quickly and easily for cleaning without causing damage, and replacement parts are also available. Other masks I've tried have been difficult to disassemble, so I'm less likely to do so with the 3m. And, because they're 3m, you get a (confusingly) large number of filters to cover all of your use cases. Just make sure you get genuine 3m filters because there are plenty of knockoffs on the market that are of dubious quality and certainly don't meet 3m's standards. Also, while there are P95, P99, and P100 filters, there's no point in getting anything less than P100 because the price difference is negligible compared to the performance difference. That is, the P95 has a 1 in 20 chance of passing through, while the P100 has a 3 in 1000 (or 1 in 333) chance of passing through. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> COVID is now difficult to obtain, and even though it claims to be sold to 3 million people, this may not be the case. When 7502s were hard to come by and prices had skyrocketed, I ordered one. Worse, the bag was open when it arrived, and the unit was clearly sprayed with some foul-smelling disinfectant. It took several cleaning cycles to get it to the point where it could be used without emitting a foul odor. It's now "unavailable," so the review isn't visible, but it's been relisted from 3m, so be wary of the seller's claims that it's new or from 3m.
So I've tried others and I really like the quick release on this one. It makes things a lot easier, and the quality isn't affected. I purchased the medium, and it performs admirably. It comes in handy when I'm doing pyrography or wood burning art because the fumes can be dangerous at times. making use of the appropriate filter Okay, and I realize this is a little gross, but I'll say it anyway: I've tried a few different masks and this one is so good that I don't even notice my burps. Yes, that is significant!.
There was no need for a retainer or adapter because the filters fit perfectly. I wear the mask to avoid breathing in sawdust, and it hasn't caused any irritation in my lungs since I first put it on. The mask is comfortable to wear and fits snugly without being too tight. The quick latch feature has gotten mixed reviews, but I think it's a good idea. br>br>It appears that there is a lot of misunderstanding about which filters require adapters or retainers. The 6000 series filters, as well as the 7093, require cartridges, according to 3M instructions. The mask is attached to these cartridges. br>2)The 2000 series filters connect to the mask without the need for anything else. br>3)The 5N11 and 5P71 require the Retainer 501 to connect to the mask. br>br>I've included pictures of the instructions - Hopefully, this has cleared up any misunderstandings. These rules, I believe, also apply to the other 3M masks.
br>br>I needed a filter mask that would fit under the hood of my Lincoln Electric 3350 welding hood. This 3M model is compatible with both large, bulky plastic cartridges and smaller, round fabric disks. CARTRIDGES OR DISKS MUST BE ORDERED AS THE MASK DOES NOT COME WITH EITHER. br>br>My favorite feature of this mask is the Quick Latch feature, which is indicated by the QL in the item number. If I need to speak with my instructor about something, I simply pull the latch down, and the mask falls away from my face, allowing him to hear me without removing my hood or the entire mask strap. br>br>I used it for the first time today, and after 8 hours of grinding plates and burning rods, I had no black snot (ew, sorry, but it's true!). There was no metallic taste in my mouth, either. I'm thinking about getting a backup mask because I don't want to go another day without one! br>br>As an added bonus, wearing this hood/safety glasses/filter mask combo allows me to make a fashion statement! 😄.
