For a street car used for high performance driving, I mounted this bracket for a fire extinguisher on a stainless steel roll bar. As a result, I never hear any rattle from the bracket at high speeds on the race track or on the way to the track. To keep the bracket from scratching the roll bar, I wrapped it in a thin strip of rubber. This also aids the aluminum bracket's 'grip' on the stainless steel roll bar, which is smooth. This bracket comes highly recommended by me. It's well-made, and the pieces are well-fitting.
I got mine about a month ago, and it's the one pictured.

Overall, I'd give it five stars if it weren't so wobbly. It went together quickly on my Kawasaki Mule 4010 handlebars, and it was nice to have some weather stripping included to keep the metal bracket from scratching the bars. The square part that connects the extinguisher mount to the mounting bracket, on the other hand, is not securely fastened. Because I'm using it on a UTV, there's just a smidgeon of wobble, which I expect to cause this product to fail prematurely.
Be wary of the images, as they may deceive you. This item will not fit on the rear roll bars of a Jeep JK or JKU. I removed the padded cover, but I'm still unable to install it. The screw spacing is smaller than the diameter of the bar, and even if the screws were to fit, the clamp curvature would not sit nicely on the bar. This item will be returned to me.
In my drag car, I used this to keep my fire extinguisher close at hand. You'll pay $70ish or more just for the clamp, plus $100 or more for the pretty powder coated extinguisher, not even the clean agent ones, if you buy the fancy "racing" clamps. The quick release pin makes it easy to access in an emergency, and it fits the $17 automotive fire extinguishers available at your local hardware store.
br>However, I encountered two problems. br>1. I fixed it by putting a bungy cord on the nozzle end of the fire extinguisher, which made it rattle and make noise while in use.
2. Because it didn't come with a lanyard for the pull pin, I made one out of a zip tie, which has held up well.
This product was purchased to be installed on my 2012 Jeep Rubicon. It's self-evident that it doesn't work. Rather than returning the mount, I decided to install it on my Polaris RZR. Just to let you know, it won't fit in a Jeep.
Installed on my RZR 1000 roll cage, it works perfectly.
Installing it was a breeze, and the fit and finish were excellent.
It was a little loose, so I wrapped it in black electrical tape and it stopped making noise.
