I've had it snap at around 320 pounds. I wouldn't use it to lift anything. You'll need something a little more substantial.
That is a trick question, my friend. LOL. It all depends on the lighting and where you put the lights. The cable has a tremendous amount of tensile strength. I'm going to look into the MFG specs. If you're referring to the small lights that can be found at each table. I'd immediately put it to use. But, once again, there is insufficient information.

This is an excellent replacement for the cable found on an Ariens snowblower chute. The 6' replacement will set you back $123. It costs $16 for a 100-foot coil. It costs a fraction of the price and fits perfectly.
I've already placed another order with this company and will do so again!.
Is it effective?.
Cafe lights can be hung with this wire. Lightweight, durable, and the best deal I could find on the internet.
For the price, this is an excellent item.
