Built to ASTM International specifications, this product has the highest minimum breaking strength on the market, at 480 pounds.

AISI 304 stainless steel is used to prevent corrosion. Each order includes a certificate from our testing lab attesting to the stainless steel's breaking strength and chemical composition.

The product has a diameter of 1/16 inch and a length of 350 feet.

Questions & Answers

Is a special cutting tool required for this?

Don't be fooled by its frail appearance. Stainless steel is a tough material to work with, and you'll need a good pair of side cutters to get through it. If you try to cut it with a full blade, it will break. You'll just fray the wire at the cut, which will be a complete disaster.

It was ideal for making a trellis in my garden and for securing my bird feeders from squirels. I've got a few more projects in mind, so when I run out of this wire, I'll definitely order some more.

This is an excellent wire. It's like having a roll of duct tape - you can use it whenever you want. It can be used to fix a variety of issues. Trees and plants, a garden trellis, a clothes line, hanging outdoor lights, hanging pictures, tying almost anything together - On our tool bench, we couldn't live without this wire. This product is of excellent quality and comes at an affordable price.

It's a good deal and it's simple to work with

Very good price - For a facility, I used this to thread a large number of key sets. It's a lot easier to cut than 1/8 inch, but it's not so thin that it could be cut with regular scissors. When I'm not using it, I drilled a small hole in the top of the spool to thread the end of the roll through to keep the tension so it doesn't unravel. Excellent purchase that I would recommend to anyone in need of a tamper-resistant device. material for proofing.

Wire rope is very nice

This wire rope arrived in excellent condition and performs exactly as I expected. The spool also came with a test certificate (see photo) that showed actual breaking strength, elemental composition, and other information. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.

Beware

While the breaking strength was stated in the description, there was no documentation to back up this claim for a project site, so it was not permitted for liability reasons. We were unable to return this product after it had been installed.

I'm not sure why I had to give'stretch' such a low rating. If it stretches, you're unable to select the appropriate cable size. Consult your wife first; she'll make a better decision ANYWAYS, the product is of good quality, smooth and flexible, and ideal for my needs.

This is ideal for our needs

We used it to string lines across our backyard and pool - it worked great! The span is approximately 35 feet. After that, we hung the lights on the patio. It appears to be in good condition, and we are confident that it will withstand the rigors of our monsoon season next summer.
