I'm curious about the manufacturing location of this cable. ?

China is the source of this product. We can also order most of our wire rope products from manufacturers in Korea and the United States on a custom basis.

Is this something that does not rotate?

A hole runs through the middle of the wire spool. The cable can be stripped just like a bobbin of ribbon, fishing line, or electrical wire.

Though they are difficult to see, two cables, one on each side, keep my dock centered to the shoreline. The cables are attached to a tree on the shore (one on each side), then through a pulley and onto a hand-operated winch on the boat dock (one on each side). I'm hoping this is the last cable I'll ever need to purchase.
