Use the following as a guideline from the description: "Cable breaking strength ratings are provided solely for the purpose of comparison. Actual operating loads may differ, and cable breaking strength ratings are provided solely for comparison. Actual operating loads may vary, but they should never exceed 1/7 of catalog breaking strength or the recommended design factor. These cables aren't intended for use in aircraft or overhead lifting. Never exceed the recommended design factor or 1/7 of the breaking strength in the catalog. "br>If a person's breaking strength is 4200 pounds, 1/7th of that is 600 pounds.
I'm not sure how big it is, but it's about 5 inches in diameter.
I've had my steel cable for about eight months and have had no issues with the coating. It's used in the open air.

This cable is much heavier than the rest of the cables on my weight bench, which is why I purchased it. If you're doing heavy weights, this should be fine; if you're just doing glute kickbacks with under 50lbs, maybe get a thinner cable than this as this is very stiff and heavy and much thicker than the rest of the cables on my machine. If you're doing heavy weights, this should be fine; just reinforce the clamps like I did in my pic.
These are fine for hanging small items or using with a padlock for basic security (anything can be cut), but I wouldn't use them to suspend or lift anything heavy. The cut end of the loop can pull out of the crimp sleeve under much less load, regardless of the cable's breaking strength. Look for a sling with a load rating appropriate for your application and, preferably, flemish loop ends (cut end woven back into the cable and crimped) for any lifting or suspension application. br>br>It's worth noting that the cable is actually 3/16" in diameter, with the vinyl coating adding another 1/16".
The 4 foot length of this product is ideal for suspending bird feeders that lack fittings or attachment points. The vinyl coating protects your hands as well as any items you're suspending. The double loop ends are very professionally put together; this is my second cable, and I am very impressed with the level of detail and pride that has gone into this product line; thank you for two excellent looped cables!.
The first time I used it, the loop fell apart. The item was returned and a new one was sent out. The second appears to be in good working order.
In my garage gym, I put together a pulley system, but the cable snapped. Instead of going to Home Depot, buying a length of cable, and making loops with those little "fasteners," which was always a chore, I thought I'd give this a shot. I could make this as long as I wanted it to be. I got the 6 foot one and it worked perfectly without the hassle of looping it myself. It only took a few minutes for me to put it together. It was well worth the fifteen dollars.
Version of 6 feet. It's well-made, and I'm confident it won't break under the weight of a couple hundred pounds. br>br>It's not a criticism of the product, but it's a little too long to replace the Spud Inc Lat pulley wire, and if you use two, one will be slightly shorter than the other.
They are successful. The opening in the cable is a good size for attaching to an existing door, and it's been working perfectly for quite some time. br>br>I believe it is a high-quality product, but only time will tell.
When I leave my bike in the city, at work, or at school, I buy this to lock my helmet to it. It's perfect for what I'm looking for. Threads through the double d-shaped holes in the double d-shaped holes in the double d I have a standard keyed Masterlock on hand, which is the ideal solution.
