It appears to be electro. galvanized steel
Galvanized steel has a tensile strength of 11,000 pounds.
I'm not sure. I'm not a fan of riding in a boat. I hung a porch swing from the cable. It's perfect for that purpose.
I have no idea, but based on the price, I'd guess China. I'm using it for a dog run, but I wouldn't use it for any true rigging applications.

This can be used as a Zip-lock bag. Line in the backyard--works great and has held up well over time. We didn't need to cut it because it was the perfect length for what we needed it for. When tightened with a 4-ton winch, the sip line can support a 200-pound adult. We're using hose pieces to protect the trees we're using as ends, and the wire rope hasn't cut through.
The 3/8" galvanized cable is quite thick, so making sharp bends, such as through the loop/thimble you use at the ends, takes some effort. Aside from that, it's fairly flexible and can easily bend to larger diameters. Only time will tell if the cable is of good quality and properly galvanized. This cable was used to secure a 500-gallon propane tank to its concrete pad, and I'm confident it's not leaking. Product arrived sooner than expected, wrapped in plastic wrap and encased in a USPS priority box. The supplier most likely cut it to length from a bulk spool, wound it up, and wrapped it in plastic. Expect a high-quality cable at a reasonable price; you can secure the ends of this cable with a stainless steel clip/clamp, thimble, and crimping loop kit from Amazon.
Strong cable at a reasonable price; I wrapped it around a water hose, which worked perfectly. br>Please take note of the other product comments. br>Why on earth would you respond to a question with? "I'm not sure, but I used mine for" blah, blah, blah. br> Why waste your time with that scumbag's remark?.
Steel cable 100 % Steel cable, to be precise. It's 50 feet long and has two ends, and it's made of steel and cable. It's round, gleaming, and a little heavy. It unwinds into a long length of twisted cable and performs the function for which it was purchased. After all, it isn't it? cable made of steel! It's doing a fantastic job of supporting both ends of my front porch swing!.
The wire that needed to be replaced was a drab gray color that reminded me of galvanized steel. This wire has a nice sheen to it. I sent this photo of the wire to the supplier, and they confirmed it was galvanized. We'll see if it starts to rust in an application that gets a lot of moisture, but I'm not optimistic.
I was surprised to learn that it arrived in a plastic envelope, but then again, it's pretty difficult to harm it. It arrived in perfect condition.
I can't wait to put up more of these zip lines through the woods!.
Keeps a firm grip. For my dock anchorage, these were ideal. If it ever corrodes, I'll notify you.
