A cable cutter will set you back around $100. or you can use a grinder, or I use a chisel and hammer and lay it on a piece of steel.
Given that both are 3/16" galvanized, it appears to be possible. I'm not sure if there's anything else that distinguishes zip lines from cable.
I didn't. I used it to prevent the sagging of our ranch gates. It's a heavy-duty product at an affordable price.
It wasn't on a spool, and the order was only for 100'. I was pleased with the product's quality as well as the speed with which it arrived. I wouldn't think twice about ordering more of it.

To keep posts from leaning, brace the front tops of each to the bottoms of adjacent posts.
This cable is outstanding. Flexible in its approach. When I unrolled it, it was completely flat. There was no evidence of twisting or torque anywhere. Pliable to the point of being brittle. I'm very happy.
It arrived in perfect condition, and I used it to make a zip line for my kids.
I would definitely order from HY- in the future because everything was exactly as described and exactly what I needed for my project. WELD once more. I'm using it to string lights in my backyard because it's a better deal than major retailers like Home Depot, and shipping was excellent despite the USPS's best efforts to sabotage it. Thank you to the seller for working with me to ensure that I received my package.
Before ordering any cable, make sure you know how much tensile strength you'll need.
Quick delivery and accurate sizing, as well as a great price.
It worked great as a replacement for a winch line.
It's being used to support outdoor lighting over the lawn and in the trees.
