If it is exposed to direct moisture, such as rain, it will rust lightly. It is un- Under the right conditions, coated wire and even "stainless" steel will rust. I'm using it in an outdoor bean trellis, and after only a few months, it's noticeably rusted. Coated cable is the way to go if you want something that will not rust.
I used it to hang lights across my backyard and it would make a fantastic clothesline.

a buyer who is aware This is exactly what you'd expect, with nothing unexpected thrown in for good measure. It's just plain steel cable with no coating. Strings of the same diameter made of nylon, fabric, or plastic are lighter, more flexible, and stronger. It's uncoated, so it'll rust in the rain and, if you handle it too much, it'll unravel slightly at the end. When using a crimp sleeve to secure it, you must be careful when threading the sleeve, as a few strands may become bent away from the main cable, making it impossible to thread the sleeve without clipping off the damaged end. And, of course, if you clip an inch of uncoated cable, tiny metal strands will fall down and scatter all over the place. So put on some gloves and work carefully, and you'll be fine. I used this to make a bean trellis, and it's worked out beautifully so far. Because of the rusting issue, I wouldn't use it as a clothesline, and I wouldn't use it in any situation where a failure could result in injury (the 368 break strength appears to be accurate, but I'm not going to risk my life on it). It's ideal for use as perching wire, trellises, hanging planter boxes/bird feeders, and other light-weight structures. responsibilities in the house and garden.
WITH SELLERS CLAIMS, THERE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. I'm satisfied with this cable for my application; it did exactly what I needed it to do. My kayak's rudder cable was replaced with this cable. My issue with this listing is that it claims to be aircraft cable, which leads me to believe that anyone who thinks they can use it on an airplane is mistaken. USE OF THIS PRODUCT ON AN AIRCRAFT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED. I work in the aerospace industry and supply aerospace components, and this part simply isn't up to par. To begin with, the item lacks any part markings. Second, the part comes with no paperwork or certifications at all; it's just a spool of cable. There's no way to track it down. Despite the fact that this is marketed as an aircraft cable. The FAA should seriously consider looking into companies that make claims like this without providing the proper paperwork or documentation. This is a serious safety concern for anyone in the aviation industry who believes they can use this part on an aircraft; if the cable is not made correctly, it could lead to death because aircraft cables control critical flight controls. If the seller removed the advertisement to the aviation industry, which falsely led people to believe it could be used on an aircraft, I would revise my review to a five-star rating. Because there are no lot numbers, part numbers, or paperwork with this spool of wire, it should not be used on an aircraft for the safety of everyone. Many other sellers selling similar cables are engaging in the same deceptive advertising, which should be stopped immediately or reported to the FAA, which has jurisdiction over this area.
We used it to wrap around the base of our dog kennel to prevent our dogs from digging or pushing through the chain link fencing, as well as to keep critters (particularly coyotes) out. It appears to be perfect for that purpose, and I'm confident I'll use it for other purposes as well.
It produced superior strength and kept all of its components in good working order. It was, however, my fault for not having the proper wire rope cutting tool. Rather than a quick snip, I appeared to peel the wire layers away. br>Here's an idea: Please advise on the best type of cutter to use when buying this wire rope. As a rookie, I had to learn the hard way.
The little holder clips make loop making quick and easy for securing when turnbuckles for shade tarps were purchased from Amazon's "also bought" referral when turnbuckles for shade tarps were purchased. I was skeptical at first because of the small diameter of the wiring, but after putting it up, I am very pleased. I believe it would be useful in a variety of other settings.
I used this cable outdoors with zinc plated copper ferrules, and it worked perfectly with a crimping swage tool.
I looked at buying the same product at my local Home Depot and found that I would only get a fraction of the cable for the same price; even though this was far more than I needed, I now have plenty of cable left over for my next project at the same price.
Flawless.
