I don't think it's sufficient. It's got to be 8 inches.
In order to make sure your product is easily removed from the chamber, you place it on the silicon pad before purging it. When using a stainless steel chamber, you shouldn't place product directly into it unless you are doing this for the customer.
I'm grateful for your message, Sir. Thank you. A barb should be 7mm in diameter (OD) in order to fit correctly. 6 feet is the length of our vacuum hose. 5mm(ID) by 10mm(OD). As per your description, the line you are on The ID of the 38inch pipe (equal to 10mm) is too small, so it does not Thank you for your reply. I hope it was helpful. Selected User Reviews For BACOENG 1.5 Gallon Stainless Steel Vacuum Chamber Silicone Kit for Degassing Resins, Silicone and Epoxies
According to the product description, this product The internal dimensions of an object are The following are high points The diameter of a six-inch disc is Dimensions 9 inch / Vacuum gauge measuring range 0 to 20 There is a restriction in the directions that it can only be used for a maximum of 25inHg Counting from 14 to 14. It took me a while to get out all the air bubbles from silicone using my DIY vacuum chamber I created. It is 28hg with a large mason jar. I figured I would get a slight upgrade by buying Now that I have purchased it, I regret that I'm only able to have it delivered It is better to go with a company that makes quality stuff and has a reputation for vacuum chambers so as to avoid the hassle. To buy one that will work, I have to spend a little more than I spent on this one. The reason it is cheaper is because it is cheaper. A new update has been published The top piece of the vacuum no longer has silicone on it after one week of use, making a loud clunk sound each time you pull the vacuum. You would be doing yourself a favor by not buying.
I found a useful method on YouTube for stabilizing poor quality punky woods. It would be better to use it rather than just throw it all out so that I could use it to turn on my lathe. The resin must penetrate completey into the workpiece. It is injected into the vacuum chamber to ensure the resin penetrates completely. The Cactus Juice resin and Bacoeng 1 resin (which is heat cured after the vacuum) were both used. I bought the 5 gallon vacuum chamber in part because the price was right and I have so far found it to be ideal for the task. Everything was well packaged, and there were a few additional accessories included as well. I am very pleased with the quality of the vacuum, and the stainless steel chamber itself is thicker than I expected and hasn't buckled nor fallen apart after many hours of vacuuming. With this unit, you get a reinforced vacuum hose measuring about 5 feet long with a 14-inch connector ,as well as an inline particulate filter (which I haven't used so far, but I think it's a nice touch). There is also a silicone mat in the kit that goes on the bottom of the chamber so anything overspill won't stick to the stainless steel chamber. This kit seems to be specifically designed for working with liquids like resins and so on. Moreover, there is some sealing tape and a wrench included, again, nice touches that will help you get started if you have never used a vacuum chamber before, as I did! Furthermore, I chose this model because it has a large all-terrain area - I wouldn't want something smaller instead The lid on this vacuum is made of acrylic so you see what exactly is happening when you perform the vacuum choreography When the resin is first degassing, the last thing you want is to pull too hard and force the resin to overflow into the container you have placed it in. Due to the fact that the lid sits on top of the chamber and forms its own seal, you get a really big opening, making loading and unloading the chamber really easy. There is a lot of thickness to the lid, and I haven't had any problem holding a vacuum for up to six hours. *The gauge is easy to read and seems to be of decent quality. You'll need to fill one out. The only thing you have to remember is to remove the small rubber plug on the top of the gauge body while removing a vacuum Having said that, there is a big sticker on the gauge that lets you know, and I still have to check it since it could be easy to overlook, and I understand the gauge can be damaged if you don't remove the plug when As a result, the valves are stiff in operation, but it's probably better than being too loose, since you can set the valve at any given position and rest assured it will stay in that position. I'm extremely pleased with the results and find this a very easy program to use. So far, I am using the chamber to stabilize several batches of wood with resin and it is perfect. I would recommend the chamber for anyone who is interested in vacuuming resins or similar products.
I really like this product!! Aside from the silicone pads, assembled wrenches, and PTFE tape, it comes with extra accessories. In addition, a threaded cap is included for the hose connector to prevent leakage. Aside from that, the acrylic cover and stainless steel barrel worked well as These stainless steel barrels did not show any sign of deformation after extended use, as their surfaces had a thick and smooth finish. Brass is the material used for the valve, and it has no strange Six out of six went well for me No change was visible in the seal test or gauge after an hour. There is a PSI and MPa scale on the pressure gauge. InHg units can be converted to and from each other, but I'm more used to seeing measurements expressed in inHg. It would be a good idea to use a BACOENG chamber.
I did not experience any 'popping' of the bottom of this chamber when vacuum was suddenly applied. According to other reviews, it did this when the bottom of the chamber was suddenly vacuumed. In contrast to the early reviews, the chamber has likely been redesigned and improved. This bottom is solid and sturdy, and the top of the lip is sealed well with the silicone gasket. The size of this is below 25". I had no trouble getting it below that. Degassing acrylic casting material is what I'm using it for.
product is great for those who are looking to do resin casting, but don't want to shell out a lot on pressure pots. Getting the hang of go casting took some practice, but once I did, it became an integral part of my fishing There is all that you need included in this kit to hook it up to your vacuum pump and it is easy to assemble and start using. The process is very simple. My product is well made, has been flawlessly performing for me so far. Besides the good price, the quality is also very good. This will be a great experience for you.
There was a warp in the package. appeared well-constructed until I placed the full resin molds inside, switched on the vacuum motor and then it sucked the bottom up, effectively dumping over every single mold, damaging every project, and now I have a pressure pot that has 2 inches of resin covering it all. The system might work a little better now. The lesson of hindsight is that you get what you pay for in the long run.
I could have gone for a more expensive one, but I'm happy with this one. Even though people say you cannot use this for several hours, it keeps a constant negative pressure for several hours. It is a very easy product to operate, even without instructions. If you need instructions, YouTube videos are easily available. on this one might be a bit tight to line up, but as long as you do you should not have an issue for the price it is definitely worth the money. I should have opted for a three gallon, but I'm satisfied with the one I purchased.
Degassing epoxy resin with this is my method of choice. There are no issues that I noticed after I charged it 50 times. Please make sure that the dimensions are correct for the mixing containers you plan to use.
