If you wish to perform a control test, apply a drop of a solution instead of blood to the test strip. Comparing the results to the control range (the range can be found on the vial) indicates that the meter is working. If the results are within the range, your meter is functioning properly.
Due to the fact that I wanted to know the parameters of my meter, I bought both and tested them at both upper and lower limits to find out where the meter landed.
The control solution should always be used whenever you open a new test strip. Put a drop on your finger and read the glucose reading with your blood glucose meter. Shake the bottle up and put a drop on your finger. It should give you a number within the range indicated on the packaging of your test strip. If you are using the High test solution, you should be in the high range, and if you are using the Low test solution, you should be in the low range. Here is some information I hope will be helpful.

A group of friends and I purchased the Prodigy Meter, and it came with a carrying case, lancet device, lancets, and "Kit" however did not include a solution for controlling the mixer. Originally, I believed the "Kit" would include everything I needed for testing I guess that is what they mean by saying you know what you are.
Product was as described and arrived on schedule. This program does what it is supposed to do.
Test fluids are used to determine whether you are using capillary test strips correctly when a new container of them is opened.
I am pleased with this. It was confirmed that the monitor is not worth using, however it took forever for it to arrive.
The shipment arrived in accordance with the order.
The desired result has been achieved! The strips do need to be checked every time you open a new vial of them.
