Can I use it after opening it for a certain amount of time?

Keeping the cap on should keep the juice fresh for many months as long as it is kept in a cool, dark place. There is one at work that is more than a couple of years old, and it still works well. Evaporation would cause the EC of the solution to increase, so it's best to avoid it.

The bottle's seal had been completely broken and opened as soon as I received it. I'm not sure what your answer is. It's probably ok, but not.

Hanson is a good product

Its calibration solution is what you expect from a product of this type. The products they make are really good and there is no reason not to use them. It is unlikely that other brands would work with it.

A standard solution that is accurate

In order to calibrate a conductivity probe (K=) from Atlas Scientific, I used this product. The first one. The probe I used was from Mettler-Toledo I went to Toledo to compare the solutions and they were accurate.
