When a pH meter is not in use, this is where pH probes are stored.
Potassium chloride (kcl) is present in the storage solution.
There is no requirement for a solution to be applied to the stick. It is possible for it to dry. It's my truchen ph probe that I use all of the time.
Unfortunately, this product ships from various Amazon facilities, making it impossible to predict which box you will receive; however, the MSDS can be downloaded from the product detail page.

Although the customer service has been excellent, the product is either counterfeit or something else has occurred. br>br>Please accept my sincere apologies for the length of this message. br>br>This is the type of PH probe I usually buy: MA9015 (220ml) Storage Solution for pH/ORP Electrodes by Milwaukee. I've been using this fluid for a long time, and my meters have never shown much PH drift. br>br>Using Milwaukee brand storage solution, my PH drifted over the course of my last 5 calibration tests. 01- 05 off. My ph was a mere two days after I began using Atlas Scientific Solution. 50 off! Surely a coincidence. br>br> So, I've decided to re-examine the situation. My probe was calibrated to a value of 7. It started at 0 and ended at 1 day. 62 off! br>br>I decided to send an email to the seller, and they said, "Our pHbr>storage solution is a universal solution that will work perfectly with yourbr>probe. " "br>br>Fair enough, but I went back to my Milwaukee product last week, and my probe is back to normal. " This product is clearly incompatible with the HMD PH200 monitor. br>br> br>br>There was one key indicator for me that led me to doubt the product's quality: when I use Milwaukee solution and a small amount drops and dries, you can see the sodium crystals form. br>br>With the Atlas Scientific brand, I dried a drop on a clean surface and found no crystal formations. I'm guessing it's just distilled water, but I don't have the equipment to test it. br>br>Use this information however you see fit.
I get my Atlas PH solutions from Amazon because it's a quick and easy way to get them. 00, 7. 00, as well as a solution for storage. Because your PH meter will drift over time as the electrode ages, you should calibrate it with good solutions on a regular basis. br>br> This solution is used to store the electrode when it is not in use because the probe must be kept wet or it will become inaccurate and unusable if it is stored dry. This solution works well, but after being opened and stored for a long time, it will start to grow mold or bacteria somewhere around the 12-month mark. This is true of most neutral fluids, and it is not a problem with the solution. Just remember to keep an eye on it once it's been opened and replace it if it becomes dirty or smelly.
I bought a cheaper Gain Express ORP meter and simply keep it tied to an upright support of a book shelf with this solution in its end cap with the cap side own. Maintains the sensor's visibility and functionality at all times.
Never had an issue, recalibrate probe every month, had current in place for two years, and only had a ph drift of. In a month's time, I'll have accumulated a total of seven.
In terms of price per milliliter, this is a good option. I purchased four of these for my lab technicians and plan to purchase more once they run out.
This was a cheap ph pen when I bought it. After that, I simply purchased a well-known brand of pen. This was returned to me.
For my pH meter, I keep a bottle in my work van and top it off once a week. It cleans my tips and lasts longer than any other solution I've tried. br>Because I calibrate with pure solutions, I can't comment on that application. It has the best storage I've come across.
