Questions & Answers

The opening of the 1 gallon plastic bucket has a diameter of how many inches?

Since we are using paint in our plastic bucket, I do not want to pull the lid off before we use it. On the other hand, I looked at the top of the press - The outer rim of the lid extends beyond the opening. Thus, we did not measure it. There is likely to be about a 5 3/4" diameter opening. I should note, for what it is worth, the outside diameter of the bucket exactly matches the outside diameter of the standard paint can we store the bucket on. There is no difference in the design of the pressurized containers Make sure the lid fits. Hence, I believe an exact match would exist between the opening of a standard paint can and that of a standard Thank you for reading. I wish you the best and

Can these be used to store paint for three years or more? Was it still effective after all that time? One of the buckets I had was able to dry out the paint. ?

I recently bought a replacement paint can and I think this may be the best one I have found

What happens if this plastic comes into contact with mineral spirits, paint thinner, or ?

I would not recommend them - they are polypropylene and the seller avoids using oil-based paints and solvents, so I would say no to them. Solvents are not something I would use it for.

What is the diameter and height of the outside?

If you ask me this question, I think you should address it to the seller, since they're all one and the same The shape of a gallon can could be changed in order to fit in a new size of shipping container (for example, taller and thinner to match a new shipping container size). On Amazon you can also find plastic paint cans of various sizes made by several different manufacturers. Due to these reasons, the cans that we bought may not exactly match what is being sold at the moment. Thus, I would like to say Just to give you an idea, here are some measurements There is a diameter of about 6 3/4" and a height of about 8 to 8 1/4". (Standard height depends on how tightly the lid is tapped. I wish you the best of luck

It contains a bucket for composting
5/5

In the process of creating a countertop compost bucket, I came up with an unusual use for the As a precaution, I keep it lightly sealed to prevent odors and fill it with appropriate compost scraps. As soon as it is full, I carry it to our garden compost pile. It is very handy. The dishwashing machine is almost too big for the dishwasher, but it cleans in the sink very easily. This is a highly recommended read.

I'm in love with There is always this pantry/shelf full of paint cans in every guy's house
5/5

When you open the rust bucket can, there is a usable can of paint inside. Remove it from the equation. There is no rust on these plastic cans, which means that you can actually use this paint for two years. I have no idea why it took me such a long time Be sure the grooves on the lid are clean before you snap it on.

That is a great idea, but you need the Stretcher Spout for easy pouring and cleanup
5/5

The paint I buy is 5 quarts so we don't have to buy a lot since we paint the whole house the same shade. Buying 5 gallons is heavy, so I did not want to keep buying a gallon each time I needed to use it. As I walk from one room to another, it is easier to refill a 1 gallon container. In the past, I have always used the Sure-Stop On my paint cans, I have a line spout this does not have This will prevent the metal from rusting, but the process of pouring will cause paint to be scraped off. The stars are 3 because of this. Here's an update! My son and I found the Stretcher Spout (Pack of 5) on Amazon to be amazing and was able to eliminate It is now possible for me to have 1 gallon cans which do not rust for on-going use In the process of touching up.

I would like the rim to be a bit If all you want to do is transfer paint from an old to a new can, this method is sufficient
3/5

It's kind of the same size all over but this one is a little bigger on the other side. The rim is a little bigger than normal and the size of the can is about the same as well. The included cap is the only thing that will fit on the rim. You cannot add anything else. The Sure-Test is the one I use On the side of my paint cans, I have a line spout. My cans have always fit well with this and I have not found one that doesn't. A sprayer sized to fit on top of a gallon can would be a challenge. I don't know why they had to deviate from the norm, You may want to use this for more than just storage, as you may wish to use it for more active paint applications.

It is not prone to rusting when painted with water-based It's great that the plastic is heavy duty

tightly, but you'll need a hammer to get it on (press down on the plastic edges to prevent damage to it place a rag over the top and hammer around the edges Neither of those problems apply to me). You will be able to keep your paint from drying out if you put the lid on properly. A flat blade screwdriver can be used to remove the lid as well, but you need to be careful not to damage the seal in the process. In contrast to traditional paint cans that rust after a few years and then drop pieces of rust into your paint when you open them, the plastic won't rust. In another comment, a complainant complained that the metal handle of the can could not be attached A pair of pliers will not solve the problem. Because the black plastic makes it impossible to write on the can with a black felt marker, you will need to write the paint color and so forth on some white tape and attach it to the container. These are excellent! I will buy more of them!.

OK to some extent
3/5

Despite the fact that it works well, the lid won't seal. It's impossible to even put a metal lid on it because the lid grooves are different from the can grooves. The can will not seal for some reason I cannot figure out. The exact opposite is true. However, this would be fine as long as you are only going to work on a short term basis and do not intend to.

Rusty paint has come to an end
5/5

The label on the original paint can was taped to the plastic one, rather than being left on the can. I bought a gallon of paint and had half or more left over every time I got a small amount left over. I would either get bent up from repeatedly removing the lid or the lid began to rust. I was hoping to find a perfect answer to this question.

Definitely a paint can I'd love to have! It is a great alternative to metal storage tanks for storing paint, etc
5/5

, especially in uninsulated areas and in places without climate control The shed is an outdoor one). In contrast to metal, there is no rust that develops from constant exposure to the elements, like changes in temperature, high humidity, and moisture. The fact that it is made from recycled plastic is wonderful. In addition, the can is well made, durable, and the lid fits tightly and can be taken on and off easily.
