Yes, I own a number of rental properties and use this machine in each of them. After that, I did a test with the regular rug doctor, and the x3 brought up so much more dirt on the floor. This machine actually vibrates with power to get the deep down dirt, and my oldest daughter now wants one for her home as well.

The amount of dirt it extracts from your carpets will astound you.
Please bear with me as I write my first review. I had my child about a year and a half ago and never had my carpet shampooed. It was clearly time to clean because kids are disgusting. So I reasoned that you get what you pay for, and this thing is worth every penny. br>br>When I shampooed, I would notice a spot and go over it again, only to forget about it because it was gone. I felt disgusting after this thing dug up so much dirt. Definitely a good investment. br>br>The only drawback is that you must constantly refill the tank. It was well worth the fill-ups, and I would work as a rug doctor again on a ten-point scale.
I'm not convinced that the new Pro Deep model is significantly inferior to the older X3. br>br>I've used both, particularly the X3, over the years and rented the X3 last year and thought it did an excellent job cleaning the carpet, particularly sucking up the water and leaving it very dry after use. br>br>I trusted the reviews and bought the X3, but I still think the new Pro Deep is easier to use because it tells you when you need to reload the water tank, whereas the X3 requires you to guess when you've run out. On the Pro Deep, both tanks are removable, making cleaning and filling a breeze. The X3's tank is more difficult to empty, and to empty the water tank, you must either run the pump until it's empty or top the entire machine. br>br>Because the two machines are nearly identical in price, I would choose the Pro Deep over the X3.
I wasn't sure about the machine because it didn't look anything like the old ones I'd used before, which were primarily vacuum cleaners. It was a pleasant surprise for me. It's simple to use and does an excellent job of cleaning. According to the reviews I've read, it either works great or doesn't work at all. I used it again today and it wouldn't start, so I thought oh no, here we go, but I figured out in a short time that I needed to reset the machine at the source (the plug), and it was fine after that. The suction is fantastic. We have area carpets, and you can see the carpet lift off the floor when I turn the machine off. It's simple to fill, despite the fact that it's not a three-gallon tank, and it's simple to empty. When there is water left over in the clean water tank, emptying it is inconvenient, but hooking up the upholstery sprayer is simple, and all you have to do then is hold the sprayer over the sink and spray the water out. Overall, I think this is a much better cleaner than the others, and the warranty is five years, not one year like most of them. The most important thing is to read the directions before using it, and you'll be fine. I'm glad we went ahead and bought this carpet cleaner.
This device is fantastic! It removes almost every stain from our carpet. If you have to clean your carpet on a regular basis, this unit is a must-have.
The concept of a one-pass product appeals to me, and it works admirably. However, there are some drawbacks, such as the size of the collection tank, which is likely to be in excess of 4 gallons. The solution tank is supposed to hold three gallons, but it only holds four quarts, or one gallon. For a room, I had to refill six or seven times. There's no way to tell if you're out or not because the solution is at the bottom. It requires a see-through or indicator portion. They also say it's 3 gallons, which is why I bought it, but it's only 1/3 of that. Because the tank is so small, refilling it should be simple, but the collection tank is on top of it, and the solution tank isn't portable, so you'll need to bring water to it. Overall, it's a good product, but it could use some tweaking and should be more transparent about its tank sizes. For this price, I believe Bissels Pet Doctor (260 or 280) is a much better value.
Unfortunately, the runner on which I tested this is likely beyond repair. But what this machine was capable of producing was downright revolting! It just goes to show that vacuuming isn't sufficient for keeping your carpets clean. br>br>As others have pointed out, the cleaning fluid reservoir is quite small, and emptying it doesn't take long. This means that the solution tank will need to be refilled on a regular basis. It would be fantastic if there was a bigger reservoir. Getting a 5-star rating would suffice as a workaround. a gallon bucket to cut down on the amount of times you have to re-wash To make a new batch of solution, whisk together all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. br>br>I'm excited to try it out on our other carpets and see how it performs.
This carpet cleaner does an excellent job in general. I've only used it three times in small areas, so I'm hesitant to make the following statement. I'm not sure how durable the machine is, as it appears to be made of fairly lightweight material. One thing I don't like about the sprayer's orientation is that the suction area isn't pinpoint or spot on, so trying to start from a carpet edge onto the tile floor, for example, tends to get water all over the tile floor, and up against baseboards, it's difficult to get that waterline into corners and pulling back. Cleaning is done well by this machine. In terms of shipping, I had a fantastic experience.
