We've rented a Rug Doctor before, but it never quite lived up to our expectations. After renting a BG10 Bissell and falling in love with it, we decided to purchase one. This shampooer has left an indelible impression on me. This is without a doubt one of my best purchases. Make sure you're using it correctly by watching the YouTube video. It has an impact.

We used to have an old Bissell vacuum cleaner that we thought was pretty good. My husband wanted to replace it with a newer model because it had been around 15 years. He read the reviews and decided to purchase this Professional cleaning model. It arrived a week ago. My husband used it to clean the carpets in our office and master bedroom, and they look noticeably better than when we used our older Bissell model. This one is a little bigger and heavier than the last one we had, but it still works great. We are extremely happy with the results. I'd also like to mention that certain chemicals make me extremely sensitive. This cleaning solution, unlike some of the other Bissell cleaning solutions, did not have a strong odor and did not bother me. In the end, we came out on top.
I had hoped for a bit more for the price. It cleans just as well as my previous Hoover (which is still at the top of my review list). The carpet dried reasonably quickly, but I had to go over it several times to get it clean, which is probably why it took so long. The water tanks are larger but only about 2010% so there is not much different there. The weight difference was the most noticeable difference for me. This vacuum cleaner is nearly three times the weight of the Hoover. Also, because of the machine's size, you can't get close to the carpet's edge to clean it, so I'm hoping this one will last longer than previous cleaners. The only way to find out is to wait. After a year, I'll make an effort to remember to add a new comment.
I liked how simple it was to set up and use the upholstery tool. Filling the clean water tank is more difficult, but the additional volume makes it worthwhile. My first application was on a $3,000 Peking wool and silk rug made by a Chinese craftsman. The rug came out looking brand new, and the machine's formula is incredible, leaving it smelling like rabbit fur. I absolutely adore it.
If you buy the hose attachment, it can also be used on stairs. I also appreciate how simple it is to clean up afterward.
I would rent this machine, but due to the virus, I am unable to do so. I did some research and decided to buy it regardless of the reviews. I'm glad I took the initiative. I no longer have to carry my carpets back to the store to get them super clean. You will need to empty the dirty water and refill the soap on a regular basis, but this is not a major inconvenience. My carpets are clean, and the air in my home is fresh.
It's a bit bulky, but it's not particularly heavy. It cleans up reasonably well, but I'm still having trouble removing red cool aid stains. I like the detachable cord because it makes it easier to use and protects the cord from fraying. The price and the fact that you can't see the dirty water it collects due to the plastic's slight opacity are two of the most significant disadvantages.
