I'll be honest, we were a little hesitant to buy this machine at first. br>br>Before buying any type of machine for the house, I always look at the lower reviews to see if there are any common flaws or complaints, and a few people complained about the machine leaking or being easy to break. (I've been burned far too many times in the past, so I'm extremely cautious. )br>br>I saw videos on YouTube that inspired me to take a chance and buy this steam cleaner. br>br>What's more, guess what? br>br>We absolutely adore this steam cleaner. I had just finished using it when I decided to write this: )br>br>We needed to find a cleaning machine to assist us because we have an elderly dog who has a few "accidents" on the carpet every week. br>br>Because hiring a pro once a month was becoming prohibitively expensive, we sought out a home unit that was both functional and easy to maintain. It's over! br>br> br>br>We use the recommended soap and extremely hot water, and it works flawlessly. br>br>The carpet comes out clean and soft, rather than stiff from dried soap, as some others have mentioned. Allow me to quickly teach you something. Okay, this was sculpted by gods in Olympus, right? If I had a ten-point scale, I'd give it an 87. I'll explain why in a moment. Our dogs' feet have magnets that appear to attract every dirt particle they come across. I had no idea there was so much dirt on the party's crust, but my dogs discovered it anyway. Anyway, we bought this because our carpet was filthy from the earth's skin, potty accidents, and everything else under the sun. We set it up, and I chose the dirtiest spot on the carpet and said, "Let's see what deep, deep clean means," and believe me when I tell you, Sammy, it looked like one strip of brand new carpet. This thing is incredible, and if I could track down the creator of suck awesomeness, I'd probably get down on one knee and propose to them. Every single star has been awarded.

It's a good machine compared to their old machine, but it's a little misleading because it's called pro heat, which leads one to believe it has a built-in heater, which it doesn't

It says to use hot tap water, but I'm a little concerned because when I did that with their old machine, it melted some parts, so I bought it assuming it was a pro heater with heater. It does produce a lot of water and pickup, making it a nicer machine than most, and it is a lot easier to clean with no screw removal like the old one. I also discovered that after about 5 minutes of cleaning, the engine gets a little hot and the suction is half, so you have to let it cool down and continue. br>UPDATE: The machine leaked the water I left in and destroyed my ceiling, which I discovered was a defect that Bissell never notified registered owners about, so it leaked and ruined my floor and ceiling as it went through the rug, which I didn't notice until I noticed the ceiling downstairs had stains, which is currently under construction and the ceiling was just replaced and finished. I filed a claim with Bissell, and today I received an email from them stating that my claim email had been deleted without being read. Horrible company, do not buy their products.

Worst warranty I've ever seen
