This purge valve can also be used as a gate valve, but keep in mind that it has a 3/8" NPT connection. That opens with almost no restriction since it is almost a 1/2" hole. When under pressure, this device will erupt with a roar and soak anything around it in a pool of water.

This is the replacement coil I ordered for the motor control system on the air horn. One of the power wires was damaged on this one. A cut was made to the insulation on one and a complete cut was made to the wire. In the coil, there is nothing that seals it. It is a bit misleading that the coil has no weather protection because the wire plug is not tightly seated into the coil casing.
This coil and valve weighs over a pound, which is a lot bigger than I had suspected. One other person also pointed out that the thin bracket won't hold the coil in place because of its lack of strength. In light of the problems and the costs, this is not a feasible option.
As of this writing, I do not have this installed yet due to unforeseen issues. The switch is a bit larger than I expected and the bracket is quite thin to support its weight to hold it in place. The device rattled and bumped against my fender well under the hood when mounted vertically. My next step will be to add another support bracket and drill another hole in order to see if adding a third axis will stabilize Having it wired in yet is not yet possible because it was so large that I had to change its location, which changed everything I planned to do with it.
The price is very reasonable and the quality is good. Amazon is offering it at this price, which I believe is the lowest on the website.
I found it to be good quality. This device works well without the need for a relay. Also, the mounting bracket worked well. As a quick burst of air also works well with the solenoid. It was my best friend to use air line fitting elbows with swivels and push buttons for easy installation.
Not a lot to offer, but it works.
I like it.
It does exactly what the company claims it will. I was not expecting it to be this big.
