Questions & Answers
I appreciate the question you asked. Typically, the solenoid comes with a strainer on the inlet side of the valve when sold along with the humidifier. The strainer, part 4004, is sold separately when the solenoid is sold as a stand-alone part. My sincerest thanks go out to you.

As far as the new solenoid is concerned, the price for installing it would be $200 in addition to the $50 service call. I would like to know how much a new humidifier will cost. I purchased this new solenoid and installed it in less than 10 minutes. The process is extremely easy, and I don't have much in the way of handyman skills. Using a pair of pliers, remove the old wire nuts and connections, and then install the new ones. Be sure to turn off the humidifier's water line and everything powered off when not using it. In any case, I was still experiencing the same problem after I restarted it. I decided to remove the orifice that connects to the flexible water tube that drips into the filter after some digging around. My computer started working once I turned it on. As I knew the orifice would need to reduce water flow for the system to work properly, I lit it up in a bright room to see if it worked. Upon examination, I saw a small bit of calcium clogging the tiny hole. After removing it with a needle and running under warm water, I covered it with clean tape. The orifice was reinstalled and the problem was Those who have said they have received a defective solenoid should make sure they check the orifice. I am currently using the replacement solenoid and my old one is in storage in case this one.
The solenoid is an original Aprilaire part. The cost is lower than on the Aprilaire site. I bought this part back in August 2015, when the model 700 was installed, so it was still under the 5 year warranties. My phone call with Aprilaire informed me that the warranty is only honored if the product was installed by an Aprilaire dealer. In this instance I did not think it was satisfactory, since the part is simple, and I was not in the mood to pay $125 for the installer who guarantees the labor for a year to come and install it. The requirement to have the installer purchase the part makes the warranty effectively meaningless. The new software only took a few minutes to install and it works fine. It took me an hour to figure out whether I needed to replace the solenoid after watching a video on Aprilaire's website about how to do so. It is recommended that you clean the inlet filter once a year and to clean the pin hole on the output side. However, neither of these conditions were mentioned by the installer. It took two days for this product to be delivered I was very pleased with the service.
As soon as he gave me his quote of $277, my job was about to drop! I was surprised to discover that this was more than I had spent on the In 15 minutes I was able to fix this after watching some YouTube videos and using Amazon and Amazon video guides. Since we got this humidifier, we've actually gotten moisture out of it and I can hear water running whenever the furnace turns on, so we know it's I highly recommend buying this part and replacing it yourself if you are mechanically inclined and need to replace this part. You can save a lot of money by doing it yourself!.
Last week, our whole house humidifier was out of commission, and after a bit of self-diagnosis, I was fairly After calling out our HVAC company, he wanted $280 to do the work! It shocked me to discover this item was only $30 on Amazon. It was here the next day after I ordered it. I took 15 minutes to install, and the humidity is back! Our HVAC company is good to work with, and I would've probably let them do the work if the quote had been reasonable, but I knew it would be a quick installation and $280 was just out of line. During installation, you need to do the following Identify and remove the 2 screws, disconnect the 2 water lines, unscrew the 2 wire nuts, then replace the new one with the same process. Make sure you take your loved one out to dinner with some of the savings you made.
The technician was able to quickly determine that water wasn't going into the water panel, so he ordered the Aprilaire O right away. Unit that needs to be replaced. As soon as we opened the package, we noticed that part had been massively redesigned -- The new unit is composed of a lighter weight casting instead of a thick brass body. It was easy to install, however, and there were no issues. Did you notice that the "orifice" measurement of the replacement does not match the original measurement A 3/32" orifice was listed on the original, and a 3/64" one is listed on the new one. I'm venture to guess this is to ensure that the replacement part fits a wider variety The unit could be more efficient with water by making it more Contacted Research Products/Aprilaire to find out what they can do.
Would be happy to pay $37 for a new one with the same hugely over-sized dimensions It has been built as it was originally A photo of the unit being disassembled can be found here More than 20 years would be left to do so. This new unit appears as cheap as many of its counterparts priced between $18 and $24 It would be great to know if this is a genuine Aprilaire replacement part and not just a cheap knockoff passed off with a 1000% price increase without any.
It has become apparent to me that I should return the Aprilaire humidifier that I ordered and go down Aprilaire 440 was a dinosaur and the solenoid was shot, so I knew it was time to change it. But then, after realizing that the metal cut in half wasn't wide enough Since it was much larger than the unit I would replace it with, I decided to repair it rather than replace it. When I fixed the leaking fittings, the solenoid has worked perfectly without incident since I rewired it. The solenoid fit perfectly, and rewiring it was a snap. Excellent for weekend warriors, and not too difficult for those with a bit more experience.
We were seeing about 20% humidity inside our home according to our thermostat. For a fee of $80, two contractors offered to analyze my problem It was estimated that the fix would cost more than $500, but they warned against it. Before spending any of the money, I decided to test this first before spending any more of it. refreshing to see water flowing into the humidifier again that evening, and the humidity level rose as well. As of now, there are 30 days left in the month By 40 percent. I can confirm that it has been working for a few weeks after an easy installation. My Aprilaire 600 is working fine after watching several YouTube videos and reading the troubleshooting guides on the Aprilaire website. Before you spend big money on a contractor, it's a good idea to watch their videos.
